Yeah it is a painting of Isaac. And from the recent Spoiler [rquoter]There's one person you probably think they would never kill off because of his or her special role on the series. But what if there were someone who could instantly absorb that person's special role?[/rquoter] posted by Ottomaton leads me into believing this: Spoiler The spoiler is referring to Isaac Mendez being killed off, his special role was painting that a "bomb" would go off in NYC. Peter already has absorbed his power, not to mention that Hiro did go into the future to see a dead Isaac with the top of head cut opened. Sucks to see Isaac go, hell it sucks to see any of the characters go because this show is that damn good. Guess I was wrong with my first assumption, but I believe this is how it'll turn out. Just my two cents though.
Potential spoilier if you haven't read the other ones. Spoiler Well, the theory said she comes back after 24 hours. 24 hours haven't passed yet. So, yeah it might be wrong but it hasn't totally been disproven yet.
Spoiler I posted the thing about coming back to life after 24 hours, but two days ago I posted a correction. The source that I got the 24 hour thing from was not good. It was apparently just somebody making stuff up claiming it was inside information. Several of the other predictions that this person made have already been proven false. I would be very, very surprised if Simone comes back to life or has any powers. From several better, more reliable spoiler sources I have read that after this most recent show, the actress who plays Simone is only scheduled for one more appearance, the season finale. As far as I know it could be to play a flashback or another case of being mimicked like tonight. Apparently they may have her come back for more after than if they decide they want to write her in, but right now, she is not a part of the regular cast going into season two and most of the general story lines for next season have already been written.
The painting was of Isaac. But IMO he will not die (although I wouldn't be sad if he did, he doesn't do much but paint). The reason I think this is because the writers are trying to make it obvious he is going to die. They never seem to go with the obvious. They'll make us think he dies and then swerve us and kill someone else. Peter can absorb Sylar's acquired powers. he already showed that by stopping the Taser while on the roof with HRG. What isn't clear is if his absorption is related to powers used around him or if he absorbs them whether they are used or not.
I agree as the painting was of Issac...He doesn't die yet, as its of the future and we know Hiro saw him...I think Peter is more powerful than Sylar as he absorbs them when they're near, not having to kill them and see how they tick...I also think peter kicks Sylars ass when he realizes he took his powers... HRG in the end, getting caught...c'mon, that's huge, IMO...That lady is a b*tch...The grandmother was interesting too...In constant contact with the Hatian...Nathan selling out...How does Linderman know all this...He's got to be a former something...Great F'n show, but April 23rd...That sux...
That was a great last two episodes - really stirring things together. Spring part 1 was so much better than the fall run. The writers have an outstanding feel for pace. Well, we've only had two Issac paintings that haven't borne out - this new one of his death and NYC's mushroom cloud. We haven't, to my recollection, seen an example where a painting is "avoided" It'll be a rough 5 weeks with no episodes. C'est la vie. I'm think Matt rescues Bennett from the facility. Shapeshifter girl is an absolute b****, but she's hot enough that I don't mind. Evan
It would also jive with Hiro going to the future at the very beginning of the series and finding Isaac dead with the top of his head chopped off
Another hour of awesomeness. Great, cinematic, creepy way to end the episode too. And another great 'wow' moment finding who Claire's 'benefactor' is. Nice surprise to see Ando save the day for Hiro too. Hiro always has the most fun moments.
I dont understand that schizo girls powers. sometimes the good one is stuck in the mirror, then at others the good one is out...doesnt make sense
I think the whole mirror thing is just so the audience has a visual representation of her split personality, her power seems to be super strength, she just happens to be nuts as well
This is 100% speculation, but work with me for a second. We know that Jessica really did have a sister named Nicki who was killed in front of her by her father. We know that the powers are genetic - that if Nathna, for instance, has powers then his brother Peter will almost definately have powers as well. Furthermore, to date we also have not seen Jessica use any of the super strength unless she was Nicki. This may not mean anything, it could be that this is just a crutch - like Isaac having to shoot up in order to use his power and see the future. But what if it is not? What if super strength would have been Nicki's super power had she not died, and when Nicki comes out it really is Nicki inside of Jessica? The idea would be that Jessica has a seperate super power which involves absorbing the essence/souls/power of people (pehaps hereos, perhaps people she cares about) who die in her presence? It is just a thought, not particularly backed up by any evidence, but at the same time not disproven by anything we've seen thus far I believe, and it would make for an interesting bit of misdirection, IMO.
What an amazing episode. OK...stuff about Episode 18: Spoiler In the previous episode where we saw future Hiro, he remarked that Peter looked "different" without his scar. Looks like the scar comes from his fight with Sylar... Ottomaton: nice one about Nathan and Nikki ending up on a bed. Dang Suresh is an idiot. You just knew he was going to pay dearly for not shooting Sylar when he had the chance to. So the Petrelli matriarch is the person close to Claire that the Haitian referred to earlier. It seems at the very least that "they" are sympathetic to the heroes ... this seems to mean she knows the truth about Nathan and Peter too, and she has been hiding it from both of them. (MAJOR SPOILER) Spoiler I read somewhere that Episode 20 will be set 5 years in the future and all the heroes will die. The previous spoiler about "tick tock" seems to make more sense now.
Superman can pretty much shake anything off except for kryptonite so he'd win Peter would have a lot more powers so he'd take out Wolverine Radioactive Caveman would just blow up the entire area, killing himself and everyone else
To spoiler 1: Mohinder is an idiot...I like the character but we'll see...I was thinking about the scar, but if he could heal himself, wouldn't he not have one? Spoiler 2: That would totally suck...
Superman's weaknesses: Kryptonite, Magic. Superman wins. Wolverine at this point. I'm guessing that Peter can't heal from being chopped into pieces. And even if he could, he would have still lost the fight. Caveman, hands down, chere.
Nikki/Jessica or Rogue Sylar could have a forcefield of Kryptonite around him at all times... Peter could heal himself, and do some crazy magneto type things....
She strikes me as the only really unusually cruel character thus far. Despite the fact that she is pleasant on the eyes, I was more thinking along the lines of ‘What a b****h!’ every time she was in a scene.
