I'm beginning to think the Haitian doesn't have the power to inhibit other powers either. Otherwise they wouldn't need to taser the invisible guy and Peter.
Also maybe hiro didn't rewind the bullet. Maybe it's future Hiro possibly looking out for himself but he's not able to reveal himself. I think too much
I was wondering how they were going to turn the story line to the new phase in the plot. With the emergence of Parkman and radioactive man trying to save the heroes we got our answer.
Do you think the Heroes reference to Lost was intentional? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOLOk-ozWvQ
Peter is turning out to be a hoss of a hero. Man he's gonna wreck shop. I like where his character is going. Great episode.
Which leads to the age old question...how did future Hiro get to be future Hiro the very first time it happens...or is it a completely different concept of time that isn't even comprehendable!!
I don't understand the differences between Sylar and Peter's powers? They seem the same to me. What the hell does Sylar do with the victim brain anyway?
Sylar does them on a biological/genetic level. He incorporates their genetic code into his. Sylar is a watchmaker who takes them apart to see how they tick. He copies their powers it in a very mechanical way, by altering his own genetics. Peter's power is more that he can imitate others by thinking about them. It's like doing impressions for superheroes.
Now that I've had time to digest the episode a couple days: Lame supporting cast: So far, two of the three supporting cast that I can't stand are on their way out: Simone and Claire's mother (and Mr. Muggles). I applaud the writers for this. I see them as the plot devices they are now; they were character building folks who are on their way out. Now I'm hoping that Matt's wife gets taken out for some reason. She's a complete b****, especially for a woman who just got busted cheating. She's too angry; get rid of her. I can see their unborn kid being some kind of 'next gen' plotline in a few years. Speaking of Matt- he seems like the real leader in the group to me right now in terms of real-world experience. Peter is probably the fan-fav, but really, if you had to follow someone, which would it be to you? Physical power has nothing to do with leadership. Sylar took a hit for me in this last episode. He might still be my favorite character, but damn, he's nuts. And it isn't consistant....but I suppose thats the hallmark of being crazy. Matt and Peter definately took a step up for me, especially Peter. Matt could have his own show, IMO. He's a likable guy with flaws. Who wouldn't take a bag of $2m worth of diamonds if it were fairly safe to do so with no secure finances and a kid on the way?
Yeah, if you don't have super powers then GET OFF OF MY F'ING SHOW! Simone, Claire's mom, Ando. Notice Claire's friend wasn't in this episode either. DOWN WITH THE NORMIES!!!
I've just caught up with this series myself and started a marathon of my own watching it. I don't really have any spoilers to add other than this observation. The symbol on the hilt of the katana Hiro wants appears to be the same symbol on Nikki's tattooed shoulder. I'm only up to episode 12 now so maybe what I'm adding is nothing you guys don't know already. Also another thing I just thought of. Eden had the chance to stop the Indian from coming back to India to bury the ashes of his father in the ocean, and was in fact ordered to. Yet he still left after Mr.Bennett ordered Eden to keep him there. Doesn't that go against what her powers are all about? I mean I know he eventually goes back to NY to follow in his father's footsteps but it was for different reasons altogether that didn't involve her persuasive powers. Spoiler Keep in mind I'm only up to episode 12, but here's my theory on how Peter being the bomb may start. The Sylar vs Peter fight happens, but Sylar ends up getting Eden's powers before she kills herself. Sylar ends up persuading Peter to blow himself up after he absorbs the nuclear guys powers when they meet. I gotta catch up with the rest of the episodes.
Anyone else think that Linderman is going to come looking for his diamonds/$2,000,000 that Malsky stole from him? Matt will be another character tied to Linderman.
That's deep; nice theory. Spoiler I don't think the outcome will end like that, however. I see Peter winning somehow. If not, I'm gonna hate this show for a while.
Also, did anyone catch Charlie (Hiros girl) on Ugly Betty? Her character name is Charlie there also. I don't know if it is coincidental or intentional. Strange on both accounts since Lost and Ugly Betty are on ABC.
Finally finished episode 16. I'll echo the same sentiments already stated: good HRG/Claire scenes, Peter coming into his own, HRG confronted at the end, Stan Lee cameo, etc. That whole Peter sequence was straight Matrix style: stopping bullets (or whatever) and flying out. Can't wait to see how the confrontation at HRG's house turns out. My guess: Spoiler Since Claire is nearly indestructible, I think she could save the day for the family.
i think its a weak reference, but Jeph Loeb, the executive producer, was on Lost for the first two seasons before he jumped to Heroes. Both shows have significant comic book backgrounds when you look at the producers and writing staff.
