No. It's been established he has to kill them to see what makes them tick and take their power. Plus, after he escaped, he still went after Claire because he didn't have her power yet.
I think it's already been established that he has control over electronics or something. His mom mentioned very early on how he's real good with electronics. And he fixed that broken telephone and now the ATM thing.
Still... How do you explain the two instances I'm reffering to? We've established that there may be more than one person with the same power, so perhaps he acquired it elsewhere. There's nothing that says he won't kill two heroes with the same power. He's satisfying his "hunger", remember?
The think that confuses me is that you have to be pretty damn sophisticated (know the technology) to be able to control electric current such that an ATM gives out cash.... right? or maybe I'm reading too much into it?
I don't think its about sophisticaiton. People have the powers because of a genetic mutation, so all the heroes have this power, but don't necessarily have to know how it works. They just have "it."
I don't remember exaclty what he said to Eve so I'm not going to comment. But she didn't shoot him so who knows. Even if he had healing powers, I don't think he'd be able to recover if he had his brains splattered around. Remember that when Claire had that stick stuck in her brain she couldn't heal. It wasn't until the coroner removed that she came back to life and healed herself. We don't know exactly what was in Sylars head, but from what I could see it didn't really protrude into the skull or anything. When he pulled it out, there was no hole or anything that magically healed itself like you see when Claire has an injury. He also thanked HRG for the shave/haircut and not a hole in the head.
Just watched the 1st and 2nd episode again and it was interesting to hear Mohinder talking to his class about the cockroach and how it could resist radiation. Also the scene where Parkman finds the little girl, it showed her father frozen with his head sliced off. Either Sylar had ice powers or one of the parents did in which case now Sylar has the ability to freeze. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
What's up with them putting Heroes tidbits during deal or no deal now. Damn marketting. Now I have to watch that show too to see what's going on?

Maybe you can find them on You Tube. How many have there been? Or how many have I missed should I say?
A crazy idea that popped into my head today. It is totally my idea but if you don't want to know anything that could even remotely be possible, stay clear. Spoiler I've heard a lot of leaked spoilers about a hero dying. Supposedly it is a hero that we thought wouldn't die because of the perceived importance of the character and that characters power. What if that person is Claire. Maybe future Hiro told Peter to "Save the cheerleader, save the world" because he knew that to save the world Peter needed the regen power. Maybe her place in saving the world was all a misinterpretation by the audience. Maybe Hiro needed Peter to save Claire so that he could use the regen power at some point in the future. This would make Claire expendable and a candidate to bite the dust soon. She isn't my first choice of characters to kill off, and I am really not sold on the fact that the writers will do it, but I think it could be feasible. Maybe Sylar kills her, gets her power, but fakes it like he doesn't. Then he gets killed at the end of season 1 only to regen as the cliffhanger in the finale.
I'm not reading anything but I just want to say... Curse you all for being able to watch all the shows before me. I can't freakin find a file anywhere and I'm dying to watch Heroes!!! I have a job interview at 11am which is 4 hours from right now and I haven't had any sleep!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Wow, Nathan's mom is a lot more cutthroat than I would have guessed. If Claire's mom moves to Mexico, does that mean she'll drop out of the storyline for a while or will she stick around? Oh yea, poor Ando, he likes blondes too much.
Tonight's episode was good. They are saying a hero dies next week but I think it's just going to be the guy who can paint the future. Nothing we haven't seen already since he died initially when Hiro went back the first time. Sylar is just getting more and more powerful. How in the world is anyone going to stop him.
