Great point, I'm sure this whole issue will be explored more in the upcoming episode

Nice find but I'll add that this is a huge spoiler alert. it is about 5:00 minutes of next weeks episode. It shows 4 scenes, nothing earth shattering, but if you don't want to see clips with any substance but would rather see it in context with the episode then don't click the link.

Most of the clips are bland, but there is a huge spoiler regarding Sylar's ability to take other powers. So, don't click the link if you don't want to know.

I guess I worded that wrong. it wasn't a huge spoiler in terms of content, but it does show 5 minutes of the episode. Some people may not want to see 5 minutes of the episode before it shows up on Monday.

Well like VS said it doesn't give anything that we don't already really know. But it does show more of the episode than the normal "next week preview" they do at the end of each episode. It definitely doesn't reveal any secrets or tell what Hero is "lost", with the exception of clarifying Sylar's power.

I watched it, and I'm not sorry. It got the juices flowing for Monday.

I finally watched the marathon I Tivo'd and now everything is clearer to me..I guess I have more questions though...like...

    1) who does the dad really work for...does he have any powers...what if that black guy doesn't listen to him...2) when Hiro tried to save the waitress, why didn't the waitress recognize Hiro when he came...I mean she already new Japanese right? 3) Does Sylar accumulate all the powers, thus it takes all of them to stop him on Nov. 8th? 4) who was the guy that was frozen solid? The last episode, the list of names was about 34 and about 5 deceased...6) What is Micah's role...

Anyway, I love this show more and more, and I didn't watch the trailer...I'll wait till monday...

    1) the dad is just trying to save his daughter, i don't believe he's a bad guy
    2) hiro traveled 6 months ago... the waitress of course wouldn't know him
    3) in order for sylar to accumulate all the powers, he will have to kill all the heroes... soooo we won't see that
    4) frozen solid... i didn't see that one
    5) you skipped 5 hehe but micah's role, well... he's just a kid that links together the couple and without him there probably would be no plot between the two heroes

#4, they never really got into who that guy was.

#5, his role hasn't really been explained as of yet but he seems to have similar powers to the villian, at least IMO

the "nuke" is peter... he absorbs the ted guy's power and couldn't control it. the goal was to save the cheerleader because claire is the only one that can save HIM and get close

Ha ha, that's why you always click "Preview Post" when posting spoilers.

    Re: #2
I think he means, why didn't she recognize him in present day? In present day she had already received the Japanese phrase book (presumably the one Hiro gave her when he went back in time). If she got the book from Hiro, shouldn't she recognize him?

Well she probably did recognize him but that's after he went back. the timeline probably changed and we didn't get to see that part, but in the end she still dies. i don't know how to make sense of it, but let's just say hiro created 2 alternate timelines

See that's the thing, she told him before he left he loved him, so wouldn't you remember someone you love and finally opened up too...I agree with GRENDAL, the only reason is that he talked to his mom on the phone when it didn't work...but what the hell do I know...the frozen solid guy was the ep where the cop found the little girl with the mom hanging on the wall...

    I have a question

Back in episode three the FBI chick and cop guy catch Sylar at the hospital trying to kill the little girl. Not sure what the little girl's powers are, but that really wasn't my question. It seems like Sylar has telekinetic abilities because he made the FBI chick hold her gun against her own head and nearly pull the trigger. But then the cop shows up and shoots him like 4-5 times and he goes down. And then you see him rise back up and then just disappear.
If he already has the ability to heal, why does he need to kill the cheerleader?

well he's pretty selfish as seen in ep 10 where he took that guy's power, he wants to be 'special' and if someone else has healing powers, then that doesn't make him special. i think he wants to be the 'one' or something

I guess that could be true. But I don't see then how saving the cheerleader saves the world. The speculation was that if he could steal her powers he would be invincible.

If you want to know why saving the Cheeerleader is crucial... read my busted spoiler a few posts back. I'll re-do it though:

Peter's going to absorb Ted's power and won't be able to control it therefore *is* the "nuke" that destroys NY.

    And here's my theory:
Saving the cheerleader was crucial because if Peter didn't, he wouldn't have met her. The cheerleader is the only one able to get close to Peter who can't control his firey powers gained from Ted
