Good points, one thing though I don't think it's been confirmed he is working for the goverment though, unless i'm forgetting something
I'm going to re-watch last nights episode but I am almost positive he made a mention of it. Something to the effect of the government has been tracking SG's for a while and sometimes when I find them they aren't receptive and it turns ugly. I'm not positive of the quote and I am sure he didn't come out and say "I work for a gov't agency", but I think there was an implied reference to the government tracking them and him being in charge of the tracking.
does anybody know how long they have all had their powers because many of the characters have just realized their powers and the waitress said she has just now been able to remember evrything, yet it says the government has been tracking those with powers for awhile now. does that mean someone gave them their powers or were they born with them?
I think this particular group of super powered individuals have just emerged recently. However, it's seems to be implied that super powered individuals have appeared before, the conceit being that in times of great turmoil nature "activates" these people to help humanity
Spoiler I think some of the people have been engineered to fight some supers ala Sylars group. I think the government has been tracking and attempting to create supers to fight the upcomming battle. At least that is what I think. DD
Tim Kring, the creator, has said that the powers are purely evolutionary. It isn't implanted by the government, exposure to radiation etc. Spoiler Genetics seems to also play a major part in this in the respect that this group of SG's isn't the first batch. You'll notice there has already been mention of several parents of the current group that were SG's. Nathan and Peter's father was one, as is Claire's biological parents (we found that out last night and it also gives more ammunition as to why HRG didn't want her to actually find her real parents since he killed them). We also saw the CA family that was killed in their house. The daughter had some power and the father was killed by Sylar. One more example is Mica, both parents are SG and apparently so is he. This could be one reason the gov't can track many of them easily. They know they have it in their genes.
Did anyone notice the name on the secret file that Mohinder found in the desk (that belonged to the "Dream Kid")? I could be wrong, but I think it was something like S. Ylar. Hmmmmm...
i noticed it too, which is why i'm dying to see next week's ep. seems like some of the mystery is finally going to be revealed, cant wait!
Yeah HRg is Horn Rimmed Glasses. Mr. Bennett had no name in the first few episodes and he was credited as HRG. SG is Super Genome's. That is what the shows creator calls the "Heroes"
I just looked and the file says "SANJOG, Iyer" Close to Sylar, but the kid came across as a benevolent character. Someone trying to get him back into the research. I thought it was his sister too, but now I'm not sure.
This show just gets better and better !!! Spoiler I paused my DVR on Sylar's face and it was not anyone that we know, also glad to see that there are more to be found and that the Indian guy is taking up his father'w work. I do wonder what will happen next, now that they are drawing up sides, or it looks like it anyway. DD
