Agreed.. they have finally hit their stride. STUPID FRICKIN WRITER'S STRIKE! The last couple of episodes have been awesome. I didn't believe for a second that HRG was actually dead - I figured that he and Mohinder had to ahve set it up somehow. Maybe so, or maybe Bob set it up.. nice reference to season one - 'Holy..!' hehehe
I didn't remember that until just now, but yeah great reference. I was totally into this ep. I loved the Hiro stuff with his Dad. I seriously questioned the HRG death stuff and how they could kill him off with him being such a big part of the series. I still think it looks like we'll get the Adam/Virus line wrapped up in the next two weeks and get a little Sylar tease for when the writers strike finally ends.
it's already been confirmed that this will be the end of this story arc -- which means...yes we'll get the end of the virus...adam I'm not so sure about.
Last night was awfully good, one big part of that was no new orleans or wonder twins plotlines!!!! The showdown and double ending was really impressive. Mohinder really has become a little b****. Looks like Veronica Mars may flip. I like how they've set up multiple one-on-one showdowns. Seems like Kring finally got the message that we need conflict and face-offs. We're such a simple, violent society, lol. I'm personally not convinced that Claire's blood would do squat - she regenerates like a lizard. Adam's shown that his blood itself can heal others (Nathan). Maybe I'm completely wrong (so much for evil alternate Peter), but I think Adam has to redeem himself to end the virus threat. Evan
Terrific episode. Too bad theyre having to wrap up an entire seasons storyline in 11 episodes. But it does make for a much more fast paced experience. Dont know if anyone else ever watched the Sci-Fi show Farscape, but they had to wrap up an entire season in a 3 hour mini-series. Thats what this is reminding me of... GIVE THE WRITERS WHAT THEY WANT!!!
I'm going to change my hypothesis. I think Claire (indirectly) will be responsible for the killer virus, not Maya. Mohinder will make a mistake and mix her blood with the Shanti virus, thinking it'll heal Nikki, when instead, the virus will feed off the "immortal" Claire cells and mutate to a super, unstoppable virus. I think Adam's blood is the real counter to the virus. My guess is that Bob assumed that, because Adam and Claire had the same, exact ability, their respective blood samples would do the same thing. Which may in fact turn out to be dead wrong. But what do I know?
I loved this episode...F'n Monhinder shooting HRG... Then I thought, oh the blood and sure enough, very predictable...I like it when Elle tried to use her powers and she shocked herself...HRG: "Stings like a b*tch doesn't it"...Classic... Wes and Claire can now take on the world...I wonder who Wes' parents are? I wonder if its that lady Parkman is looking for? And WTF is this chuck talk...don't de-rail with crappy shows...Carry on...
It's my assumption that Claire's blood did the same thing for HRG. We know that Bob had the blood from the scene where he took it from Claire, and who was left on the beach when West flew Claire off into the sky? Bob. So I figure he is responsible for HRG's resurrection. Does anyone else find it ironic that his name is Bob Bishop? Also, Mohinder has continually been the "voice" of the show. Does that voice change now that he has killed (or think he's killed)? I am bummed about the season being rushed to an ending also, but I understand why the writers are striking.
I liked how Farscape ended, that was an action packed mini-series in ending the show, and it was pretty satisfying. I think the upcoming showdowns in Heroes is going to be great.
Question: Mohinder's blood healed the Shanti Virus Is his relationship to his sister similar to the Wonder Twins. He Heals [Mohinder and the guy] and She Kills [Maya and shanti] Rocket River
you misunderstand...these episodes we're seeing now haven't been changed. the story / episodes were filmed like this awhile back -- this is simply how this story arc was supposed to progress. the final episode was refilmed due to the writer's strike to tie up more loose ends, however that was the only thing changed. the fast-paced experience you're seeing isn't because of a mistake -- it's because of what they realized they were doing wrong all season.
they don't have the same ability. adam is immortal, claire just regenerates. in a sense, they're similar in that adam regenerates too...but he regenerates so quickly that he doesn't even age.
They said last night (I think it was Mama Petrelli) that it started off as healing but when you repeatedly heal yourself it becomes immortality. So, if Claire continues to use her ability, she will become immortal and never age as well.
He didn't become immortal from constantly healing though, it's just how he is. Since his cells keep regenerating themselves, in a psuedo sciencey way, he can't age. Wolverine is the same way.
Great episode last night. My only complaint is. Where was the Haitian in all of this? He is easily one of my favorite characters. I figured Noah was in trouble so the Haitian would be one of the first people he'd call in.
Was really going to be pissed if they killed off HRG but glad they didn't do something that silly. A great episode last nite, really tense throughout and damn Mohinder, you little biatch! Very curious to see how Claire is affected now that she thinks her dad is dead. Question, where do you think HRG is when he woke up?
Probably in the company's confinement area. I wonder though if maybe this will change his mind about the company and why they wanted claire or does the company keep him locked up without claire knowing where he is. I bet you Mohinder does another flip-flop and probably helps Noah escape. Would you accept the help of a man who shot you in the face? Also looks like Hiro finds out Peter is working with Adam. Still can't believe we don't know if Hiro's dad has any powers or Nathan's mom. A bit unusual for Arthur and Mama Petrelli not to have powers but Peter, Nathan, and claire does. Kind miss Claire's mom too. That firepower would be pretty cool right about now.
