I honestly dont know who is bad anymore lolol For some reason I dont think Adam is as bad as they are making him out to be right now. But im not sure.
And don't forget that Kensei was a drunk who only cared about money and himself when Hiro arrived. It's likely that if Hiro had never shown up and tried to convince him to be the Kensei of the stories, Kensei never would have done those things himself. The princess initially hated Kensei didn't give any thought to a possible romance because she hated him. It was Hiro who made her fall in love with Kensei. She never would have otherwise. And she's the one that spread the legends. It makes sense that it was always Hiro who was the Kensei of the legend.
My biggest problem with the Adam/Hiro thread was the rate at which things developed. It only took a matter of minutes it seemed for Hiro to: 1. Get Adam to sober up and become a hero, 2. Promote the Princess and Adam to fall in love, 3. Turn Adam evil by stealing his girl. That thread was executed too hastily for my taste. Furthermore, if Adam still holds a "I'm going to make suffer forever" grudge on Hiro, I say get over it man...It's been like centuries already.
We don't know that is the case. Perhaps that is just a swerve to continue having us believe he is evil.
Technically speaking, that subplot was unusual by taking place in the past and detached from all other subplots. It didn't have to move along at the same pace as the other stories, and several times they indicated that the story leapt weeks (if not months) at a time. There were gaps of time not shown. Things didn't happen as instantly as it may have felt like. Evan
This is a television show, not a movie, how long did you want them to take on the whole kensei thing?????...in my opinion they took too long, this show isn't really about character interaction, rather individual stories and their connections….more about the big picture.
I just realized, if Adam still holds a grudge against Hiro, we know why he hasn't done anything yet. It's because he's been in the company prison for the last 30 years.
What a FRICKEN great show !!!!! I love it.......I like how they tie all the threads together, well done. DAMNED Writers strike. DD
And because he couldn't. If he HAD gotten revenge against Hiro BEFORE Hiro went back in time that would have altered history. Potentially.
Exactly my sentiment. My main problem with that thread was that it was poorly executed. IMO, a few of the threads this season just seem really choppy, most notably that one. To me, the most interesting and well done thread thus far is Peter's. Something seems a bit lacking that's all.
Why does everyone assume Kensei wants revenge on Hiro? 400 years is a long time to be vengeful over some chick. (Now, if Hiro killed his family or something, I'd understand.) Besides, without Hiro, Kensei wouldn't have discovered his power until much later (most likely), so he has Hiro to thank for that. I think this whole revenge/evil angle is a possible red herring. (Hey, Adam/Kensei DID cure Nathan, right? That must count for something.)
One thing I'm looking forward to is how they are going to resolve a potential dilemma that Peter's going to run into (hopefully, this is accounted for). Now that he knows the future, if he goes ahead and stops the spreading of the virus, what does that mean for his girl who is trapped in the future? Also, IF Adam still holds a grudge against Hiro (stressing the IF again), and Peter hasn't mastered his time traveling ability, then Peter may have to choose his allegiance between Adam and Hiro.
had hiro not shown up. That fake kensei would have died. The real kensei would have killed thos bandits from behind and stopped them from attaking the princess' village. That in turn would have made her fall in love with kensei the same as when Hiro rescued her from those bandits later on. Kensei would have been responsive to her love. That was the original timeline that Hiro messed up. Kensei was initially in for the money but that one event where he defeats the bandits would have been the turning point where he becomes the legendary kensei instead of the vengeful adam monroe he is now.
So if he's been in a prison for 30 years he probably has no idea that Hiro Nakumura was even born yet considering I don't think Hiro is supposed to be past his 30's just yet. Then again he knew about nathan and his accident but he could have gotten that information by listening to peter's conversations with Bob. Maybe he's given up on the revenge but when he sees Hiro again it all comes back. I agree it would be crazy to hold a grudge for that long but then again not only did Hiro steal his girl, ruin his legend and burn the **** out of him, I'd still be pissed.
I agree w/ a lot of what's been mentioned here: Hiro was always Kensei. This isn't the end of DL. Still tired of the wonder twins. Veronica Mars is hot. I'm pretty sure Adam is a bad guy, but I also think Sylar will still be the main villain. Meaning Adam will eventually turn good.
I think the Company and Bob are still evil. The virus is a side effect from Adam's blood. Adam has agendas it's personal not global but he's still a bad guy. Sylar and Claire will be be red herrings to extend the story. The brother Wonder Twin's blood is the cure.
Maybe he needed to wait for Hiro to return from Japan so that when he gets his revenge he has the satisfaction of Hiro knowing who he is?
