well isn't that kind of the angle that most superhero stories take? granted some kind of originality is good but to be picky the first season was not a direct end of the world scenario. this story is an extension of the first season (with the save the cheerleader since claire is likely instrumental in saving the world now because of the virus) but it is certainly global now since it does not just involve NYC blowing up.
Hmm. I thought I remembered Parkman or someone saying "the doctors said her wounds were self-inflicted". She told them she killed sulu so they'd stop the investigation. Maybe this is a job for watching that part again on the NBC site. Besides, why would peter scratch up her face if he wanted to kill her? He has dozens of quicker, more effective ways. And he wouldn't need to break the mirror or anything to get in or escape- he can teleport.
if this season's story turns out to be kensei waiting 300+ years to plot his revenge against hiro. that's kind of cliched and dumb.
that may be a part of it but don't forget he is also killing the other main elder heroes as well. so there is probably more to be explained with that aspect of the story.
Like I said. . . he could not kill Hiro before hiro went back in time cause that would have mess him up. . . his own personal history So he had to wait. .. this whole company thing maybe his attempt at true good but decided against it later. The randomness of these folx's powers is interesting I am now beginning to wonder if all the people with powers are Descendents of Kensai . . .Adam Monroe I mean serious ... he been around a long time . . .He could really have gotten around Rocket River
This is not an overly original Idea. . . It is the story line of Clan Destine - Comic Book Rocket River
If he had killed Hiro when he was born or something, then Hiro never goes back and never teaches him about being immortal, etc. Plus, is it really revenge to kill someone who doesn't know who you are? He had to wait until Hiro goes back not only because he needed him to go back, but because now Hiro will know who he is when he comes for him. As for Kensei being the father of them all, it sets up for a ton of incest. Nikki/DL. Nikki/Nathan. Nathan/Claire's mom. Mrs. Patrelli/Sulu. You get the idea.
They can't all be descendents of Kensai....some of them are manufactured.....the scars on the necks etc? DD
The Scars are the isotope for tracking . . . As for the incest thing They are like cousins 20 times removed and Half- cousins at that it sounds odd . . . and probably too much for Network TV but stranger things have happened Rocket River
Considering how the population has boomed over thousands of years, people are bound to have banged their 50th cousin and not known about it.
Obviously. I mean I'd have no problem with it personally, but I think it's too easy to set the show up for stupid criticism.
I liked this episode a lot better...Adam being Kensei and them coming back to the present? Also, I didn't like how Peter remembered his mom so soon (I know its TV) or how Mohinder caved in... Plus, if you remember from last season, the ep where it was 5 years into the future, why no virus and also, how come Parkman didn't have his new found powers in the future (ie. nightmares)?
Peter has Matt's telepathy and picked up all of the mom-related memories out of her head. She may have been pushing them to the front since she knows he has the ability (such as when she mind-yelled at Matt when he was scanning her in interrogation and in the hospital). Overly simplified answer? The NYC bomb would have killed or sent everyone in different life paths than where they are now. Matt doesn't get coached on expanding his abilities or meets his dad, the company doesn't engineer the virus (seemingly dismantled in the future), etc. Evan
Naw, there are plenty of superhero stories that don't involve the end of the world. Maybe I am not doing a good job of explaining my issue. The first season built up to an ending of "stop the bomb, wait till the last episode". This season appears to be "stop the virus, last episode). If that's the case then it's like they are basically doing season 1 again, new heroes, new threat...but the same thing. Kinda like how the Rocky movies all went in the same pattern....
Sweet! Tim Kring (the creator), in an interview with EW, has addressed every complaint we fans have been talking about in this thread. Hopefully, he'll right the ship.
good stuff, I unlike most people haven't had much of a problem with this season of heroes. however, looking back I did enjoy the first season more and it was definitely a lot more thrilling than this one. the last episode however was a return to form, hopefully the rest are similar.
i get what you are saying. you are looking for more conflicts along the way rather than build up to one single conflict/achievement. i can agree with that. when i have had disappointment with heroes it has been when i compare it to a show like dexter, which i think is great. i got drawn into it in the middle of the 1st season when my girlfriend was watching it. there is constant drama and conflict and there are great stories within the greater story of dexter's hidden life.
