I don't think Kensei was ever Kensei. It all makes sense. The story about "cutting out his heart" etc. was really him leaving the love of his life to return to the future. The story was dramatized by his princess the way he told it to her. Anyway, Kensei as the bad guy was very obvious. Peter as the weapon is also very obvious now.
It really is explainable. The concept of a paradox has the counter argument that time is a fluid stream of existence. Hiro going back in time and changing Japan didn't change anything because the time stream existed the way it did because he had gone back in time.
Yeah, but Heroes has kinda already established alternate timelines... Five Years Gone technically never happened...but that future is still out there somewhere. I think they're more Back to the Future-ish.
Especially since she made the comment that she would make sure the legend was told. So the little boy Hiro would have stories to help him sleep. It is circular logic. Hiro tells the princess the story of the Dragon she begins the legend. Over time the legend grows and Hiro hears the story he started as a little boy. He then goes back in time and tells the story to the princess etc. etc. Wouldn't it be rather odd if in this season future Peter comes back and gives a message to present Hiro to "save the cheerleader save the world". Because Claire could be the one needed to stop the disease.
That's crazy. But probably true. Claire's blood is going to be needed to stop the virus. We already know the virus is out because Nikki has it.
I think kensei was kensei. ONly because originally he probably discovered he could heal so he probably ACTUALLY ripped his heart out only to later heal and come back to life. Now it's all exaggerated stories instead of actual events by the japanese chick. (i forget her name) Everything seem honkey dorey until Hiro went back and changed history initially and now original members of the company are being wiped out. Stupid Hiro!
but as shown with claire they can regrow limbs, wouldnt it be weird if they could regrow a head? either way a great episode next weeks looks to be good to fill in some gaps, but i did enjoy lasts nights ep quite a bit even though no sylar was present.
I think that if you mess with their heads/brains it disrupts the power, i.e. the glass shard in Peters head or Sylar cutting open Claire in the alternate timeline. We still don't know if Kensei has the exact same power as Claire...although it seems pretty close...although slightly longer on the uptake.
I don't think even the immortals in Highlander could have survived having their heart cut out. It's just way too complicated to try to kill someone that way.
Despite Ricky Bobby insisting it's the best movie ever made, I've never actually seen it. Can they regrow limbs and heal wounds?
No. There was an immortal without a hand that Duncan cut off. They do not have cellular regeneration, just immortality.
Oh, then what's this whole business about chopping off their heads then? That just their preferred method of killing?
? All the powers are centered in the mind. Sylar opens up the skull to access the brain and learn/acquire the victim's ability. So if Adam/Kensei sends Peter back in time to kill Sulu and the others - won't he realize he's been sent for his own mom now that he remembers her? Maybe that's why she survived her assault at the PD? Sucks to be the Irish chick marooned in the apocalypse future. Evan
Now it feels like we have some traction going after all the set up. Next weeks episode looks very intresting to me, love the fill in the blanks episodes. I really hope they don't off HRG because he's been one of my favorite characters thus far. Anyone get the feeling that Claire's BF isn't really who he seems, for some reason i think he's a plant sent to look for HRG
though this is slightly off-topic it is related. apparently heroes had several mini-story arcs for this season (this being the first "generations"), however because of the writer's strike it looks like the season may end at the end of this story arc (december 4th I believe). how crappy would that be? come on writers, sign the damn papers.
That's freaking bullcrap...they're going to rush end a season's worth of stories. Just leave a cliffhanger and come back and finish them the right way! We've put up with weeks of freaking buildup...we deserve the full story.
