You have mis-characterized my view in a desperate effort to make your point.

I've never approved of tyranny for the police and I've never insisted on cowardice from the public. I spoke of practical cooperation.

You would turn petty misdemeanor into revolution.

Look at your own signature. That is a classic line from a million police scenes-- DEPRIVING PEOPLE OF THEIR RIGHT TO VIEW.

giddyup- First of all let me appologize for my last comment in the LA Cops thread. No reason to post something like that no matter how irritated I am.

Now mrpaige+ giddyup... I think Jeff locked that thread for a reason, lets give it a rest for the night. There will be plenty of things to disagree about tomorow. :)

Well maybe we should work in some martial arts training so they can defend themselves from our tyrannical and oppressive police departments.

Hell, there may even be some things to agree upon.

No problem. Just be grateful that there is a thin blue line protecting you and your loved ones from The Mayhem.

Just as you've done yourself to my points.

I believe every criminal violation should be prosecuted. And when some people are given a free pass because they have the right connections or the right uniform, then yes, I think it should be turned into a revolution.

And you did support tyranny of the police. You said it was okay for them to break the law, the Constitution and their own guidelines if it meant giving people an attitude adjustment. Power exercised unjustly or cruelly (and I would add illegally) is tyrannical. That's what police who go over the line are engaged in.

And when that thin blue line becomes the mayhem, just sit back and enjoy.

Actually, it's an officer engaging in Free Speech. Nobody has to listen or obey. Of course, in your views expressed on this board, that would give the police the right to bust some heads.

And for me, it's the first part of a line from The Simpsons.

Damn, boys. Enough already! Don't make me come over there.

    :)

Seriously, time to break it up and return to your respective corners. HTownhero was right. I closed that thread for a reason. This is not remotely close to civil discourse. I know you all have opinions. Hell, I do too.

You know, mrpaige, that I think you are the greatest. And giddyup, I respect the hell out of you. And Timing, you always have great stuff to say.

So I say this with all due respect...ENOUGH! Let it go.

Or, as your sig says MrP...Nothing to see here. Move along.
