I never understand the hatred of some posters here against the owner and the management. Yes, they did make mistakes. But who doesn't in this business?
The big trades made by the team under Les were all no-brainers. Who isn't going to want to bring in a Barkley, Pippen, McGrady, etc., when given the chance? It all just increases his wallet as a result with better attendance and merchandising. The money going out is the same, as salaries have to match in trades. No, I say **** Les. The uniforms, Hakeem, then Rudy ... he's still done more harm than good.
all three of the owners in town (uncle drayton, bob and les) seem to have that winning drive. All three try to make decisions that will improve our chances of winning. When I moved to houston in '91, that wasn't the case. I feel lucky to have these guys--most of the time!
