Honestly, there isn't anyone on this team I would love to see guarding them because I don't think that is a good matchup for us, but I definitely think that matching KT up with Odom or Lewis would not make for a good thing for KT. Every bit of KT's lateral movement (the very thing he thrives on) would be completely neutralized because they are so much quicker than him. Plus, there is no way he could stay with them defensively.

I don't think we have anyone who would be a good matchup for either of those guys, but KT would be down my list if I had to make one out of members of our roster.

How about Oz on Lewis? The size disadvantage is discounted by Lewis being primarily a perimeter player and Oscar has the speed to frustrate him on both ends of the floor. His range should pull Lewis away from the painted area to open up driving lanes as well.

Griffin should have the minutes. Starting is just a title, and Eddie doesn't need that added pressure right now.

What I don't agree with is that KT is as good as Mo Taylor. I'm pretty sure Mo T would be averaging MUCH bigger numbers than KT is averaging had he not injured himself. He was in great shape, and was coming off his first season with the team. Contrary to what you may think, Mo T puts in the ffort on D, and I don't think KT is that much of a better defender if at all. Offensively, Mo's undoubtedly better.

We wouldn't lose as many games without Steve if we had Mo rather than KT.

The best players should always start. Starting Griffin means that the Rockets would play with defensive intensity early in games. They wouldn't fall behind by 10 or 12 points in every first quarter. I'd prefer to have Eddie's spark to get the Rockets off to good starts and fast finishes, rather than having him spark the almost daily second quarter comeback.

I don't even know why this is a debate. EG is our best front court player, period. Why the hell he is on the bench, I don't know. With each passing game, it is obvious the Rockets are at their best when he's in the game. I feel starting is more than just a title. Starters are starters in this league because first of all they are the best players on their respective teams and secondly they give their team the best chance at a good start to each game. I know that Rudy is trying to be loyal to the vets, but he needs to start worrying about winning games. I know the kid is just 19 years old, but he's a damn good 19 year old. Eddie being in there as much as possible gives the Rockets a better chance of winning. The only reason I can see that Rudy isn't starting EG is because he is afraid of hurting someone's feelings or ego. Whether it means benching KT, Walt, or Cato, so be it. It should be about winning not catering to someone's hurt ego.

Pooh, I agree totally even though I'm a little late. Some players are starters and some are bench players. Most guys that are career bench players like Moochie, are just better in limited minutes. Griffin is a starter and should be. He gets into the flow better and paces himself into a groove, whereas moochie came can in out of control then exit and its not really that big of a deal. Walt just needs to be on the bench or something.
