Trix are for kids. And so is your spelling.

Okay, well let's just examine the greatness of the old logo then...

First off, why is the word Rockets written ROCKetS? The only thing I can think of is that the guy who designed it was trying to associate the whole rocketry aspect with the search for extra terrestrial life, but seeing what a crappy job he did, that's probably highly unlikely.

Secondly, what in the hell are those red things surrounding the basketball?!?!

Onto the new logo... It's not just a basketball with the word Rockets written on it(and hell, even if it was, at least the person that designed it knew the difference between capital and lower case letters). The new one far surpasses any logo out there in creativity because they took the theme of space travel/rockets and ran wild with it.

That's not a basketball, it's a planet. Whoever designed it cleverly came up with the idea that the rocket's path of orbit came out as the pattern on a basketball.

What's wrong with the nose art, anyway? Without it, the rocket would be too plain. Again, the designer creatively decorates the rocket in Flying Tigers style. At the time, the Rockets were the best team on Earth, so putting something on the logo that says "we're bad mother****ers" was almost a must.

Onto the letters; not only is the whole word capitalized this time, but they look cool. Again, the designer went all out with the space theme, using a futuristic, metallic font.

Hmmm... I said that the old logo "SUCKS" and you retort that I "stink" and am a "dork." What a trouble maker I am... [IMG]

I gotta agree as well. The old unis and logos were tooo plain. The new logo I like but the jerseys need help.

My primary complaint is not with the logo, but with the colors. I want my red and gold back, dammit! From a psychological point of view, soft colors like blue are exactly that: soft. Red is the color of anger and intensity.

If they kept the same logo (which I really am not fond of, but I can live with it), made the planet/basketball thingy gold and the unis red and lost those friggin' pinstripes, I'd be a happy camper.

The old logo was just too plain. I agree with AntiSonic... I like how futuristic, metallic, and techno the logo looks.

The font on the original logo was HORRIBLE. No creativity at all.

And the new logo also has some tite colors.

In short, the new logo is better... if they got rid of the pinstripes, then it'd be a real badass jersey.
