We'd be drafting at #14 as of now. It looks like it's gonna be a 4-way tie between us, NO, Washington, and Denver or SD.

    You're kidding right?

How would finishing 9-7 not be a good thing for this team?

    What a fan.

With the close call losses, going 9-7 would, at a glance, give the impression that the defense is improving enough that no changes are necessary outside of adding more first round picks. Fans here and at texanstalk know that one of the best offseason moves to make would be to drop Richard Smith. Going 8-8 or 7-9 would have helped prove that, especially with Kubiak's family mentality towards staff.

Hopefully one of Taylor Mays (S), Vontae Davis (CB), or Greg Hardy (DE) is available at #15.

Hope yesterday's win was worth it. It cost us at least 4 spots in the draft.

Establishing a winning mentality in a franchise is a lot tougher than making up a couple of spots in the draft. I'm glad they went out there and canned the Bears instead of rolling over.

It'll only haunt us if the teams that got ahead of us take safeties and CBs off our board. That'll be a worry with Denver. I'm still hopeful we can land someone like Mays, Davis, or Moore.

No matter what, it's almost a lock that we will get a good, contributing starter for the defense in the first round. The win didn't undo that.

This win might have cost us Taylor Mays. Will he fall to #15 or should we trade up? William Moore? Or mount Cody?

I have to say Cody would definately stop the run game. Could be a Haynseworth type player.

Mays or Davis would be great picks at #15, I really haven't been that impressed with Moore from what I've seen from him. Also, we need to stay away from Michael Johnson as much as possible IMO, the guy is a physical freak but he hasn't really produced and is a bust waiting to happen.

Of course it was worth it. Anyone remember what happened the last time the season after finishing 7-9? Besides, I was in the concourse of the Club level at Lincoln Financial Field yesterday. If the Texans had laid down, I would have been murdered for wearing a Texans hat to the game.

    Finally, tanking is bullshi*.

Your description of Michael Johnson sounds familiar.

I'm assuming you're talking about Mario, but look at the production between the two and you'll see what I'm talking about. Mario put up sick numbers, Johnson has been mediocre at best.
