I don't think we will be able to get any greek player in the near future.

I actually prefer this guy over the siskauskas guy. I like his drive and dish passing ability, but can he see the floor in a set play? can he set the offense up with a low post presence in Yao?

He's 31, European player, good skills. All that's left is to figure out what number does he want on the back of his Spurs jersey.

Scola is a PF and 27, but he is a PG and 31.

Scola's salary is 3 millions, but he wants full MLE.

He'll get the full MLE from some team. He has a stellar rep in Euroleague. NBA scouts have been drooling over this guy for years.

When did Scola become european? He's from Argentina.

As far as Papaloukas goes, i don't know. He is a really good player but as the nba comparison showed (Tracy Mcgrady) he wouldn't fit with this team. He is pretty much a smarter version of Marko Jaric. He can't play guard in the NBA so he wouldn't be that big atheletic wing we're looking for. He would be great as Tracy's backup paired with an atheletic SG but he's too big of a name to take the pennies we'll be offering.

Thinking about it more, he isn't going to be very effective in the NBA. The fact that he looks like Tmac (atheletically and driving) in europe isn't very appealling to me. He isn't much of a shooter either. When you realize that he won't be able to get into the paint as easily in the NBA he doesn't have much game left.

The guy's got plenty of height and from what I understand he really understands the game. The Rockets are going to have to get lucky to land him though since there's plenty of other teams interested that can offer him the max. It's going to come down to promises of playing time.

    I'm just saying...

I don't think it's any accident he mentioned Spanoulis during that interview, in the way he did. The guy's got an ego and I think he's dropping hints that he wants a guaranteed place in the offense of whatever team he ends up playing for.

get portland to sign him, and then trade head and hayes for him.

abit of a gamble, but still he cant be that much worst than head and hayes.

That will be more than the MLE he is able to get. And there is always the shoe factor.

Hey why don't we get a cinder block and paint a funny name on the back that ends in an "S" - then let it try to defend Chris Paul.

No one has had success at defending Chris Paul.

What do you think of Theo Sam?

Honestly, would it be more of a risk taking OJ Mayo, or Theo?

There are plenty of Euros that have flamed out, but I doubt that percentage is any different than American BBall players that have flamed out too.

Kwame Brown was a number 1 pick.....Stromile Swift a number 4 pick, Marcus Fizer, simply tons of them as well....

At least with a player like Theo, the teams are well aware of what he is and isn't.....

And if he is coming over to the NBA, do you think the Rockets should make a run at him?
