my parents actually had a pretty harrowing night, they got about three feet of water in their home and they were stuck and actually started to climb into the attic (a big no no) my dad was actually on his way to some event in the same area and had to turn around and go back home, he could have been stranded on the highway. no one knew how bad that was going to get.
All I can say is, thanks to the local media for the day off. I'm here in Deer Park, and its not even raining bad enough to knock out the dish. Good job news guys!
Just waiting to start the reports from Austin. My yard needs this so bad. C'mon Eddie! Just cruise on up 290 and make a quick right on I-35, then a left on Sam Bass. Thanks in advance...
well im in sugar land and it looks like the sprinkler system accidentaly sprayed the street.....no joke..
Do people honestly believe that these hurricanes will REALLY affect Houston anymore? Seriously. Name the last time a hurricane did any damage to Houston or even made more than 5 trees fall over? Allison did more damage than this. Now that was a kick ass tropical storm. I love bad weather
I'm working from home...I didn't want to deal with wet roads or any possible flooding in this area because I don't know this area very well. So far, it has been raining lightly. Damn it, I wanted thunderstorms.
My company sent everyone home yesterday at 3 and shut down our building today (in the Galleria). I was already scheduled to take Wed-Fri off, so I got a fantaboulous 3/4 day work week!
