Having previously lived in the BayArea, I have tremendous respect for any true Warriors fan. You must be a truly dedicated and loyal individual to cheer on the teams that organization puts out every year. My deepest sympathies and most heartfelt condolences go out to Swopa and the WarriorsWorld family as they embark on yet another innovatively disappointing regular season campaign. Just Messin Wit Ya Swopa...Maybe we meet ya in a 1:8 postseason matchup
As a Bay Area person, I am hereby throwing my support behind Swopa and the Warriors. I do like the new coach (give or take his T-shirt stencil gimmick), I like Jason Richardson, and I think Dunleavy's going to make a bigger impact in year 1 than his dad did in that whole career of his. (Remember M. Dunleavy's game, Rocket fans? ugh. and that floppy hair? My friends and I used to call him Unleavy, because his shots hit the rim like month-old bagels). Now, Swopa, do you know if the Warriors are going to abondon that jingle they had last year: "It's a great time out!" If they ditch that calypso-style jingle, I'll have an easier time supporting them this year.
The Warriors sucking brings some sort of karmic balance to the universe. It's the price you pay for living in such a beautiful place. The Kings are allowed to win because their fans are subjected to the arid hell-hole that is Sacramento.
Ottomaton, A truer post could not be typed, but as a native Houstonian with a soft spot for the bayou land, I hope we can ignore the karmic argument when the Rocks again win rings.
golden state has some talent pg.arenas sg j rich sf dunlavey pf jamison c maybe murphy thats a pretty solid squad to build around
Definitely a little talent, but your line-up points out some of the trouble, Stevie. Arenas isn't really a true point. And Murphy is a power-forward at most (I hope he gets more playing time this year though; he spent way too much time on the pine last year in what was a lost season). So center and point guard are trouble areas for the Warriors. To be honest, you could see almost the entire roster as three positions: a bunch of 1.5's, a bunch of 3.5's and a bunch of 4.5's if you see what I mean. Few true 1's, 2's, 4's or 5's.
