I betcha Hayes and Head come off the bench... :)
I am not saying he is the second coming of Charles Barkley but I will say that rebounding is all about wanting the ball more then the other player and being willing to smack people around to get it. But remember they had Barkley listed at 6'-6" {on a good day) and he was a rebounding force.

with Head, Hays, Badiene, And Sp????( Greek guy). that makes it four first year players.
I seriously doubt JVG having that many rookies in the team. So at least two or maybe three of those guys are not gonna be on the roster. Personally i like this guy over Weatherspoon, and Baker, at least he is hungry and wants to prove something.
but i just don't see it happening.

I just read while looking for wingspan

    Chuck Hayes, Kentucky

The MVP of Portsmouth, there isn't much left to say about Chuck that hasn't been said about him already. He's just extremely solid in every facet of the game, and should find himself on an NBA roster next year because of what he brings with his intangibles. It would be surprising if the MVP of the tournament wasn't invited to Chicago, and I'm sure that his future teammates who will be feeding off his outstanding passes and work ethic would surely appreciate it.

Anybody besides me wondering how a thread about an undrafted player got 64 posts and almost 4,000 views in just 12 hours?

If Rockets had 2nd round pick, I believe Rockets will pick up Chuck Hayes anyway!!

I guess everyone likes the underdog but first round picks, they useally suck.

I watched Hayes all tournament, and he definately has a spot in the NBA and I hope its with Houston. I also wish they would sign John Lucas Jr, the quick, sharp shooting PG from Oklahoma State, I think he could be like a TJ Ford(plus they were friends when growing up). He could be a good PG for the Rox off the bench.

Dennis Rodman averaged 26 and 16 in college, we can only hope Hayes is that good!
