So my friend gave me his R4 and it already has the emulator to run roms, but there is something i want to fix, and that is when I open up my DS it says "Star Wars Ultimate Alliance". I know its picky but is there any way to change this?

Also, I've been getting some games but I'm having a problem with some newer games specifically Zelda Spirit Tracks and Bowser's Inside Story running. I read something about having to fix it with a patch but it was all too confusing. It seems there are different types of emulators and different ways to fix it but I need someone to help me simplify it for me. I don't even know the type of emulator I'm using.

I would ask for help on a gaming forum but its too cluttered in other forums and I trust my fellow Clutchfans members. :) thanks for the help.

My daughters have DS's. But I don't have a clue about what you're mentioning.

    What is an R4?

EDIT: Never mind. I googled it. Is that even legal or something you should be asking about here? :(

Anything illegal, copyrighted, or pirated probably shouldn't be asked here. Especially if you're asking how to fix an illegal console.

Guys why assume he's doing something illegal? Let say he's just trying to play his "backup(allready bought) games" on this R4..

    So back to your question:
Most likely you need do download the new firmware.. Or if the game is so new sometimes the latest firmware are not compatible.. You really need to seach online or check out afterdawn.com

Again the R4 is great.. Between my kids we had over 50 games and now can put them all on 2 Micro SD's... Now I don't have to worry about loosing them.
