I always wondered what my comic book collection was worth. I collected in the late 60's and early 70's. $80 for a near mint Spiderman issue #135? I paid 25 cents for it. WOW!!! http://newkadia.safeshopper.com/976/cat976.htm
I was going to do some DC defending, but I see (fittingly) Batman beat me to it. Glad to see you mention Jack Knight Starman BJ. An extremely well written series. JSA and HAWKMAN are both currently strong titles.
I love how a thread about DC villians gets hijacked into a "who would be in the Marvel JLA" thread... You Marvel fans are so Marvel-centric! Batman -- are you reading the new GA series? The explanation for Ollie Queen coming back to life was lame, but it's great to have him back. That Martian Manhunter story of yours is awesome. Glad to see you having such a good attitude about it. I think I'd still be bitter if my ideas had been stolen. By the way, I'm pretty sure Cheetah is a WW baddie ... p.s. I read plenty of Marvel comics now because I mostly pick comics by author. I'll read anything Brian Michael Bendis writes, for example.
Finn, hey, I never said I enjoyed Hulk's dialogue. But it's still better. And my fav version of the Hulk would have to be the gray Mr. Fixit. BJ, eh, I haven't gotten a comic in like I dunno 6 years or so. Price raises made it a too expensive hobby + I didn't like the direction some of my fav comics were going in, so it was easy to break the ties. If I do get into them again, I'll be sure to check the ones you suggested out.
