I'd do the deal if i were Portland. This alligns them out for Joe Johnson or Rudy Gay this offseason.
I would love Gerald Wallace, the guy is a good defender, can shoot and knows how to finish. Any chance MJ wants Tracy ?
Yup and Miller would go back to Philly where he should have really never left. He'll be back helping them win more games teamed with the player who was traded for him in Iverson. Atleast he'd be back with a better contract.
If not Dahtay Jones check his November stats of this year(when Granger was out) only reason Nuggets didn't resign him is because they already had JR Smith and Carmelo taking up every other minute. His daily minutes are inconsistent at best with him coming off the bench. He can play that SG role we need. If not Dahtay, Brandon Rush? Pacers have a bunch of scorers we could use.
I like the idea Brandon Rush. I remember the Rockets were considering drafting him. As for Dahntay, I don't really consider him as a "scoring" type of guard. He's a good defensive player, but shooting is not his forte.
I'm believed Portlands first target this offseason is McGrady. He was before Joe Johnson in that pecking order. They gave Darius Miles a chance and now he is with Utah so they have been known to look at those kind of players looking to make a comback.
Beat me to it. He's a decent athlete, and he's shooting over 38% from three. With a player like Yao in the middle and a penetrator like Brooks, he would probably be able to improve that percentage here. I wonder what Indiana would want for him. Would the Rockets be willing to give up their late lottery pick to get him? Is that too much? I think he was drafted at the end of the lottery or just outside of it. There are some intriguing players projected to be around at that pick, but they will take time to develop. Rush has already been in the league and won't need as much time to figure things out.
Rush, Dunleavy, Murphy, exchange of #1s, and Indy's 2nd rounder for McGrady, Cook, Taylor, and cash. I love me some Brandon Rush.
If Manu doesn't sign with SA next year, we can pick him up and create a very productive bench. Lowry Budinger Manu Scola Andersen(Hopefully we upgrade next year) With the Argentinean Assassins coming off the bench and consistently being productive every night, this seems ideal. Especially with Scola and Manu playing together previously, helping with their chemistry and a way to attract Manu to come to Houston. This would leave us with a starting lineup of Brooks Upgraded SG(Shooter to surround Yao) Ariza Landry Yao In any given night, our bench could be even more productive than our starting lineup.
- James Harden - Kevin Martin - OJ Mayo - Manu Ginobili---> Very available. FA this summer, I've watched him a lot this year, he's not shooting good (much better in February) but he's in great shape physically. He helps his team in a lot of ways, I would say he's still an all-star player (in other team), and now even more important than Parker for his team. WINNER. - Richard Hamilton - Hedo Turkoglu - Mike Miller ...
this team was always a great team especially within the last few years, most people just dont see that because of all the injuries we had. however, our current needs are basically our current losses... -Tmac replacement aka shooting guard (preferably someone also with star power) -Mutumbo replacement aka back up center lowry was rafers replacement and brooks has grown to a starting role. budinger is the new wafer i suppose. battriza should technically be our sf. scolandry has been solid. yao needs a backup for injury insurance and so that he doesnt end up playing 40 minutes. after that, we'll be set!
It's strange.. I've campaigned against Manu flopping for so long now... but given the current circumstance I could handle him being signed as a bench player.
I like Morrow a lot. I'd give up a solid piece to get him. Morrow and Randolph for Carl? With rumors of them selling the team, they're not going to pay Morrow in the off season anyway. Randolph is out for the season, so it's a risk, but you're supposed to buy low right?
