I've heard that if you keep changing the court date (like 4+ times) that eventually the cop who wrote your ticket will not show up. Then you can challenge the ticket and since the cop is not there you will win. Anyone else here this?
haha, I had this idea of changing my signature because I drive from S.A. to austin for work and deal with it every damn day....and then I see your thread. My advice to you is read my sig.... ok, carry on.
If you go to defend your ticket and the cop is not there you are let off. HOwever the cop gets overtime every time he goes to court over his/her tickets, they dont want to miss out on that $$$. So you maybe you will get lucky.
Dude, no offense, but if you were doing 32 over the speed limit, you probably should get a ticket and have your insurance go up. I mean, that is 62 in a 30 and 97 on the freeway! Not only is it against the law - we all know that when we speed - but that is a dangerous freakin' speed that could do harm not just to yourself and your vehicle but to anyone who gets in your path. Sometimes, you just have to suffer the consequences when you screw up. I got a ticket for running a red light. I failed to stop at a light when turning red. There was no one coming and I put no one in danger, but I broke the law and got busted. I paid the fine and I'll probably see a bump in my insurance. That's just life.
