Despite popular belief, the Rockets game WAS on U-Verse last night, you just had to look on the alternate FSSW channels. As far as U-Verse goes so far, I love it. When I moved into my apartment a couple weeks ago, I was upset when I learned that they had an exclusive contract with AT&T, thus making it impossible to get Comcast. Fortunately, U-Verse rocks. The only beef I have with it is the slow loading times, but that will probably get fixed soon with all the new people signing up for it.
Hey - my buddy is considering getting u-verse. Could some of you u-verse subscribers tell me what internet speed plan you've got and what kind of speed results you're getting? You can do a speed test here: http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest?flash=1 (click on the link to "Fort Worth, TX")
I already did this PLENTY of times. It depends on the 3 plans you pick. Right now, and consistently, I am getting 5800+ down and +900 upload. It's funny that to SEATTLE I get a much faster rate than to DUCKING FALLAS .
I used to have at&pee DSL and phone before in one bill, and now it is cable and dsl in one bill and phone separately, but they say it will all be one in a few months. I have the 6m plan for DSL now (as opposed to 1.5 mb or 3 mb), and u400 for one month. I will choose the U300+HD+SportsPackage after October 20th. What's your friend contemplating? I recommend the u200 for anyone, but you will save a bunch on Premium if you order the u300. Cheers .
Thanks! He really has no idea. I told him that the speed quotes that they tell you aren't precisely indicative of true speed and that an actualy internet speed test is a better measurement. But in order to find that out, we'd have to talk to people who already have u-verse. Thus, my post.
