I don't know how people feel about it, but I like the Melting Pot. Fondue is fun, and it's pricy enough for an anniversary.

Never been there but have wanted to check it out for a while now. I am a gastric procrastinator! :D

I ate at Skyline on top of the Hilton Americas once and it sucked. Food was incredibly overpriced and skimpy on the portions. You are paying for the view, which is a pretty nice very of downtown, but it's not worth it.

I'd second the choices of Damian's, Mark's, Rainbow Lodge or America's.

OMFG yes! That place is absolutely ridiculous! I wholeheartedly concur with your opinion. 100% spot on.

Another place to suggest for dinner for two is 17 in the Sam Houston Hotel. Pricey, but nice. Stay away from the wine list though....overpriced. Get a martini instead. They make good ones.
