No, I don't think so. I had a similar situation with a person on eBay that I bought from. I bought a controller and paid via Paypal. The guy never sent the item to me, they did a two-week investigation and returned the money back to me. I think they take emphasis on eBay products since Paypal is owned by eBay... that's why they cover your ass whenever you buy something. I can see why they wouldn't cover someone with transactions that are from other sources.

Hmm, I take that whole situation back. It slipped my mind that he was the one selling.

Paypal does screw their sellers. There's no coverage for sellers... but I think as a seller, if you can provide tracking info for a product (if it's a big one) then you have some leverage. But receiving a wrong item is something that is easy to tell. If you messages given back and forth and the listing itself, that should be enough to prove who is wrong in this situation.

That could be true. I've never sold/bought anything off of craigslist. I tried to sell an older car and I received a ton of calls, and some visits including a test drive. None of them were serious about buying it.

He's right you have no chance... You can't prove anything. Paypal is all about the buyer
