    that's a good question...

how does bird do their things anyway? I have never thought about it. But I think for some birds male/female look different. and you can't always tell by their sizes.

Chop up some Viagra and put it in their water. That'll be interesting!

Fill the water dish with a little red wine. Put on a little Barry White and let the rest just happen.

In my limited experience, sex differences in birds aren't about size. If a visible difference exists, usually the plumage of one sex will be significantly more intense than the other.

Werd. Apparently the only way to get a sure answer for the sex of a lovebird is through a DNA test. A difference in plumage doesn't yield a 100% answer for lovebirds, unlike say, cockatiels.

Maybe they're waiting for you to leave the room.

Should you really have to coax lovebirds?

What if they were both males/females? That might be a slight problem, unless they're gay lovebirds..

I've owned lovebirds before but I suppose they were both males or both females since they lived together for years and never "got busy".

They're sweet, affecionate creatures but DAAAMN are they noisy.

Try asking the people at your local pet store. I'm sure they either have already or know of breeding umm..."techniques".

Birds, pets or not, should never be kept in cages. That's why they have wings and such......to fly and whatnot. :)

for little birds yes, a hand fed tamed bird can be had at 125 dollars... thats the reason why i am trying to breed them, just one egg can get me 80 bucks!
gradparents owned a pare of hyacinth macaws, they gaved em to me and i successfully bred them, the hen laid 5 eggs but only 3 hatched... i sold the babies to an "exotic bird collector and conservationist" for 4,000 gran each!

Oh ... you mean breed them with each other.

Sorry, I didn't read the other responses.
