its fortunate that I wear an athletic supporter with me at all times for these hits beneath the belt.
Good one, RMT. Makes me think of another which seems appropriate to the focus of the blog. Who's Next? blogs.chron.com/nba/whosnext
Thank you sir. Also thank you for something else...helping to feed my fascination with Daniel Johnston.
Oh, good. I'm always so happy to hear that someone has turned on to Daniel's stuff. I'm directing Speeding Motorcycle again in Austin early next year. Opens at Zachary Scott Theatre Center Feb. 14. Come check it out.
I'm sure it will do very well there. How could it not? Even though his music is completely different from what I do, I still enjoy it, especially the lyrics. I also enjoyed Jeff Feuerzeig's documentary very much. For me, the thing that cuts me to the bone is Daniel Johnston's story. For his art (music and visual) to come through after all he has been through is just mind-boggling to me. He puts the notion of a "tortured artist" on a whole new level. I would think if you looked up the word "survivor" in a dictionary, his picture would be there. Incredible.
All good stuff, guys. Thanks. Right now, my favorites are: Broken Record Getting In Tune (maybe just In Tune) Future Sound I like Future Sex Love Sounds for a different reason. The ideas are all excellent. Keep 'em comin'.
