Help name our Annual Mustang Car Show

Yeah I know...been kind of irritable lately. I need to let some stupid stuff just roll off me (not these posts, other issues)

 

We had our show on Sunday.

It was named the 1st Annual Spring Mustang and Ford Bash 2006.

We didn't have the show at the airshow after all, but still had a show & shine for the air show.

The show was a great success...about 70 cars, mostly Mustangs and some "powered by Ford" cars and trucks.

We gave out 100 goodie bags filled with coupons and catalogs/flyers/merchandise, t-shirts to the first 50 entrants, 53 trophies and some nice door prizes. For our clubs first show, it was an overwhelming success. We also had a live band, a live feed from the RGV Rock Station Q94.5, a speaker business, a mustang parts business, and some great food vendors. We will be tweaking the event to improve for next year.

We commited 25% of the proceeds to go to the Boys and Girls Club of Brownsville, and made $1600 on entries and concessions so I will be delivering a check for $400.00 to the B/G club.

I knew this show would be a lot of work, and while I'm glad this first one is over, I can't wait to start organizing the next one, but for now, our 1st Annual Show is "in the books"!!!

I'm amazed that we actually made this happen. We had over 70 cars and we're getting word that most people were very pleased. Next year should be bigger and better.

Not bad for our first show.
