Help me defend Steve and Cat. They are being trashed on the fan boards

The Orlando Magic are falling apart right now. I went to the Orlando Magic boards and here is some of the stuff they're saying about Steve and Cuttino from Copy and Paste.

I hate watching these games lately. As a matter of fact I havent watched much of the last three games. Where is the energy and everything from the beggining of the season. I know Willis made a post a few days ago but more and more I am finding watching the Magic very boring. What the hell is going on and when the **** are they gonna play worth a ****.

Well, i can't watch this. They are playing so far beneath themselves now that they hardly resemble the players they were a month ago. Simple things like boxing out, staying between your man and the basket and actually setting screens are completely lost with these guys. They don't do anything right. As for me i'm gonna play computer games. To hell with watching this crap.

Fell a sleep mid way through the 2nd quarter, woke up to the box score and wasnt surprised.

Francis needs to think more and play smarter. As for Cuttino my goodness i've always thought he was and is overated. Do you cuttino lovers still think he deserves that big contract he's asking for???

whats up with this stupid team? I can understand the guys going through a shooting slump 36% again but, to allow teams like Bulls and raps to shoot better than 50% from the field is a joke. Where's the god damn d? This is pathetic.

Steve Francis play so far is pathetic and man we really need a go to guy. No one is steping it up. In todays game someone has to step it up and take over the game. Hill is playing awful, Francis play is awful, Mobley ain't doing anything, and Turk thinks he is playing street ball. Someone please step it up and plays some consistant ball.

Im sorry but I don't blame the reffs. Cuttino looked like he din't want to play and got thrown of the game and he deserved it for his awful play. And Francis needs to grow up and start playing smart basketball.

This team is pathetic as of late. This was suppose to be the "easy" part of our schedule and we can't even beat the teams we're suppose to beat.

 

The good news now for Orlando is that the sorry Bobcats come to town on Friday. They could use that game to steady the ship and get back over .500 cos I do see them in this shape beating the Sonics on Wednesday. The sad part of all of this is that this is part of their softest schedule this season and they are losing ground instead of gaining.

The bad news is, the Bobcats first win of the season was against the Magic, when the Magic were playing well!

 

Yeah, Rockets fans can personally attest to the Bobcats not being your typical expansion team pushover. I could easily see the Magic's woes continuing.

 

The way the Magic played last nite, I can see the Bobcats just salivating at the chance of playing them.

Where is PGabriel, he can make it all better? When it comes to Francis, he is the spinmaster supreme.

The facts are that the critique of Francis while a Rocket were right on, and will be proven out throughout his career until he makes some vital improvements in his game, which he may be unable to do. Francis is capable of dazzling play, but over the long haul the defects in his game overwhelm his efforts to impress the masses.

 

The Magic has no post offense, and no post defense without Cato. There was a reason why the Rockets had one of the very best defense in the league last year: Yao.

And someone wants to trade Yao for Howard? The Magic fans will love it.

 

Yesterday was fun to remember...seeing Francis out of control and turning it over all game. Then trying to take over with even less control and more offensive fouls. Thank goodness for the trade...no matter what our record is this year (and I really mean that, even if it would've been a 30 win season before the winning started next season), I'm much happier not watching that *crap* all game long.

 

I agree...he is definitely more fun to watch now that he's not on our team.

 

Considering you are like the 2nd or 3rd person to ask and he has yet to appear, it looks unlikely he will show up in this thread.

This thread is actually sorta sad but still comical. I honestly don't think anyone here (well except Fegwu ) wishes bad things on Francis and Mobley; but as fans, we grew tired of the Dynamic Duo not using their brains and playing dumbass basketball. Heart is a great thing to have, obviously, but eventually you have to show some brains to go with it and not be one-dimensional, so to speak.

Yeah i would think after having the worst record in the league last year they would be happy with being a playoff seed right now.

 

If you replace Howard with Yao thats what most Rocket fans were saying last year. So much for all those people who were saying that the Majic would go deep in the playoffs.
