[Help] Looking for someone relaible to fix RRoD on 360

    I got the good old RRoD after about two months of ownership -- luckily the plug had come out slightly ... so after re-inserting said plug no more RRoD.

    There were definitely a few minutes of WTF - you've got to be kidding me ... RRoD already !? Hasn't done it since plugging it back in proper, but man is that disk drive noisy.

    Dude, I got the e74 one red ring of death. Bought it in Sept of 07 so I'm what, 4 months out of the warranty?

    Tried calling MS and they said I was out of warranty. Anyone know who can fix it? I was thinking of doing the walmart switcheroo, but I don't want to go through the hassle. (That and I heard they do check serial #s now)

    lol thats not the real 3RRoD. It flashes 2 lights i believe if your video cable is not plugged in. so your box has yet to actually "die".

    Just to get it diagnosed...then the $10 goes towards the $99 cost of fixing the 360, if I were to decide to get it fixed from them.

    LOL...a lot of people don't know this, but that is not the RRoD...3 rings are the RRoD...when the video cable is loose i believe all 4 lights turn red...all you have to do is plug is back in and your fine.

    Ya I saw this video earlier and I'm really thinking about attempting to fix it myself...If I can fix it just once by myself then I know I'll never have to worry about my Xbox again b/c I could just fix it again if i had to.

    Thanks for the video though

    No it was the real RRoD -- I checked, but there was obviously something going on with the power cable being loose.
