If you can get a jury trial for a traffic ticket, what a bunch of wasteful BS.

i'm still confused how you got the ticket for running a red light. was the light on guadalupe red or was it green like in the pic?

this is exactly how it looked when i ran the red. if you see the red light in the corner next to toy joy, that is the light for the turn only lane. i was looking at the green light that is right in front of you when you are on guad.

I once got pulled over in Austin by a motorcycle cop as I was making a left turn. I unbelted my seatbelt after pulling over, and took out my wallet to get my license and insurance ready. The guy comes up to my window and says he pulled me over for not wearing a seat belt. I was SO PISSED!

So, I went to court and talked to the DA, and they wouldn't give me a deal. I said fine, I want a bench trial, and pled not guilty. I showed up in court, and the cop wasn't there. The DA had to dismiss my case. I wasted two afternoons of my life, but it was worth it.

Yup. You also have the right to an appeal if you get convicted.

thelasik got the same exact ticket not too long ago - maybe there's an argument to be made about the visibility of the light in the position it is...not to mention the neon lights directly behind it at Toy Joy. Perhaps you could even cite his plight...

    Here's the thread he made:

I did. They offered to knock something like 20 percent off the price, but wouldn't talk about the facts of the case without going to trial. So, unless you want the break on price, I recommend going straight to trial.
