Find a job in USA/Europe/Hongkong companies. They can all use your language skills. Also, connections are very important in China. Your girl friend's colleagues can help you a lot. A starting salary of about $20K should be more realistic. Bonus could be 20% - 100% of your salary depends on the company's performance.
Guangzhou is very close to Shenzhen and all those manufacturing plants, and there are tons of foreign companies that goes there to get their stuff manufactured. With your language skills alone you should be able to find something.
