Four years ago, I created a website for school and had set it as the homepage on this computer. I gave the computer to my parent still using the same homepage. Well, couple of days ago somehow AVG had changed the IE homepage an AVG homepage, probably from some AVG update that occurred. Now I don't remember the exact address to the homepage I had created four years ago. I am not in school anymore, and when I click on the HISTORY "star" icon on IE .. it only shows today's history. When I go to internet option ... the box is check "Delete browsing history on exist" Is there another way or somewhere else in IE or the computer that might still have the link to the homepage since it was just recently been changed?
You can find that in your cache (aka Temporary Internet Explorer Files). However, this probably only works dating back to the day you last deleted the contents of the cache. If your computer is Windows 7, go here to find your cache files http://www.thewindowsclub.com/temporary-internet-files-folder-location You will also likely need to do step 1 and 2 by following these instructions http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/show-hidden-files-in-windows-7/ If you are on another version of Windows, go to google and search location of ie cache windows xp or whichever version and also search windows XP show hidden files
