Alright. I'm 2 days away from getting my new TV . Thanks for all the advice guys. I'll be getting the HL67A750 on thursday. Now I'm scrambling to find a TV stand. Any suggestions on finding a stand that will fit it? I'm a bit on budget now since I allocated most of the money towards the TV. So far I'm leaning towards this one. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...stand&lp=6&type=product&cp=1&id=1165609791326 Only thing I don't like is that it's entirely black. Makes for some blandness since the TV is black, my PS3 is black and the entire stand is black and my speakers are black. It's like ninja entertainment center
not really. his tv is 67inches. furniture is not cheap yo. check out the high end stands, they cost as much as a tv! but they look good and are sturdy. http://www.racksandstands.com/nobot/Rear-Projection-l6-c7253-A45~116-A5261~14692.html
damn. My stand was like $100 something. Altough I'm about to put my tv on the wall so I don't really need it. Guess I could use it for the DVR and PS3 though.
Salamander Designs makes nice TV stands http://www.salamanderdesigns.com/products/av.jsp I personally like drawers and storage places in entertainment centers instead of those metal and glass types so I can put controllers, remotes, and whatnot in them.
Yes that brand definitely makes some nice stands. I really want to splurge but that stand I'm looking at is fairly cheap plus I have a 10% off coupon and a 10 dollar GC so it makes it a tough price to beat. I'm sure the TV will fit because they had the exact TV on the same stand at the Richmond Best Buy. I feel like I might want to splurge a bit because I'll have to look at it everday.
Any recommendations on surge protectors? The salesman was saying not only would I need one to protect the TV but one allows inputs for the cable box because a surge from the box could possibly fry the TV?
i spent $50 on mine. the tv would not get fried cause you don't hook up the coax to the tv, you hook it up to the box. the worst thing that could happen is your box getting fried and the cable company will replace that.
