You're probably very young, so you're getting a great chance to meet other girls with different personalities. Avoid the temptation to maintain contact with your ex or even getting back together when that moment comes. It's time to build yourself up with new experiences and skills. Doing stuff and going out will help during this rough patch you're hitting.

When I was in college I knew a guy who had been dating a girl for two years. Then one day all of a sudden out of the blue she pulled out the "I won't get married until I'm at least 35" card, despite the fact that they had discussed marriage before and this had never come up. I've never seen anything more ridiculous. My friend was so mad that he broke it off soon thereafter.

The best way/thing to do when a girl breaks up with you is to just get up and move on. Dont call the chick, but when she calls, and she will, be polite and kind. Dont break down and tell her how you feel. Just be stoic about it. If you have to cry or be sad do it with your good bud. But do not break down in front of the girl. Date other chicks. The best way to get over a chick is to realize she is not the only chick in the world that will like you. Its funny b/c eventually you will find someone soo much better then her and you will stop one day and realize you haven't thought of your ex in soo long. Depending on the severity of the break up if she asks to get back with you, you decide whats best with you. A lot of times ppl get scared of commitment and run when things get too serious. If thats the case, she realized what she lost and she is coming back for good. If on the other hand she has nothing better but to go back to you, screw her she is just using you and move on and DUMP HER. I think the hardest thing is to realize a lot of the time that its not your fault she broke up with you, a lot of times its the other party involved. Above all be what society calls a man about the whole thing. In other words, be strong around her, and dont let her dictate how you should be treated.

OH and when you get down rent Swingers, one of the greatest movies of all time.

you could of got her pregnant? than she'd be officially yours?

I saw this guy on Dr. Phil, he was afraid his wife was going to leave him. She's a real heavy sleeper...so when she was sleeping, he would have sex with her. And when she got pregnant, he was like "your'e mine forever now". The wife, husband and dr phil all agreed it was a pretty funny situation. Phil's response "Laughter kills all problems."

you make too much sense for this board.

myself? i'd drink it away in a heartbeat. however... drinking solves nothing except a few hours of lost inhibitions, a bad headache, and wasted time.

life's too short, bruh. move on.

I you want to get her back, SAVE HER LIFE.

Push her in front of a moving train, then pull her back.

    -or-

Have you ever heard the saying, "if you love someone set them free..."?

Take her parasailing and cut the line.

    GOOD LUCK.

    Don't drink.

If you wanna forget about it, you have to find something to take its place.

As someone said, get up and get out. Volunteering is a great way to give yourself a new perspective and a new perspective is just what you need.

My dad once told me that you shouldnt drink when you're sad or happy... Just when you are angry. Very angry, like violently angry. Or something like that...

it's a cliche that you absolutely have no chance of wanting to hear right now - but time heals all wounds man.

you'll be good by the new year. :)

This reminds me of the classic adage:

"If you love somebody, set them free. If she doesn't come back, she was never yours to begin with. If she does come back, file a restraining order."
