Good choice, droxford. Before buying the Camry, I test drove the Sienna (back in '03), and it was a far way better ride than the Honda Odyssey, although the HO had more accessories. This was just like the accord. It seems that the Honda people like to add little stuff like an extra visor, hoping they'd get more customers with the "ooh's" and "aah's" those gadgets make them say. In a few words, the gas efficiency and the cost is a good comparison, and the Sienna of today is a much better buy. I am an old timer. I am buying a Sienna in the next 3 to 4 years, when my wife and I become soccer parents and have to take the girls everywhere. I don't see how the accessorizing could make your SIENNA better. I liked the middle-to-lower-end package just as it was. I have no need to accessorize, but you must have a good reason. How much are you looking into spending for that DVD+speaker system?
Well, we might not add some of those accessories - it depends on the prices. We feel that the dealership charges too much money for things like the DVD system and the center console (We like the center console that's only available on the XLE. They want $750 to add it on aftermarket! It's a friggin' drink holder and storage compartment and they charge $750 for it!) If we can find accessories online for a lot cheaper than the dealership, we're willing and wanting to go with them. And we don't have a price range for the DVD system. Just interested in systems that are a good balance between quality and price.
