well if you can kick the other guys @ss, go for the girl anyways. if she was a shallow social climber and you present yourself as an alpha male, you have a realistic shot. Women are dogs as much as men, they just hide it better. This girl sounds too young to know what she wants though.

Either create a new thread...or write us an essay of the details behind this one.

Not to revive a dead thread but did not feel like opening another one...

This weekend I went out with this girl and her friends, not really a date but just hang out with her group. I first met up with them at a restaurant, was late as they were finishing up eating, glad I was late because I knew nothing about the friends and did not feel like eating in front a bunch of strangers who I know will talk comfortably with each other but not to the stranger. The majority of the time waiting for them to finish up and pay the bill I was standing up while they were still sitting down and I began feeling awkward, finally the girl offered half her chair for me to sit, I eventually asked a waiter for a chair. Then the girl wanted to drink again and the bill was already closed, the guy to the right of me started arguing with the girl about just stop drinking and continue when they reach the nightclub, it seemed that the guy was going but now has changed his mind because of the argument. The girl was to my left and and the guy to me right, they started arguing with me inbetween, awkward is an understatement. It was obvious the way they argued that they had a history or at least very close friends (I found out later that some of the other people at the table were not that close of freinds, just acqaintances). The whole time I just sat there in silence as the new guy should not say anything that remotely translates that the new guy is a nimrod who we need to get away from. Finally, we all leave and I kinda jokingly said to a couple that was trailing the rest of the crowd that I came at a bad time, they introduced themselves and wondered also why that girl went off. I went to my car and contemplated just going home, as I didn't even know where this nightclub was. I finally asked around and got directions. Oh, managed to dent someone's car while turning around in a street, sorry whoever that was.

I showed up way later then they did as I got lost and called the girl that I was in line, she thought I was still on my way and told me the directions. I finally got inside and found them sitting outside on the couches. I bought her drinks and we drank together, but mostly we didn't really click and I didn't really have much to say. Her personality is definitely the crazy party girl and my personality is the exact opposite. At one point she sat on my lap for an extended time but then after that she started talking to these three dudes she just met and went to sit with them, I didn't want look too much as I don't know if she was trying the get him jealous angle. At one point she turned to her lady friend who went to school with her and I overheard her mentioning me. The rest of the night was her acting the drunk party girl and me just following the group at times and separating at other times, the whole time it was just play it cool and not look too interested type of vibe from both of us. I can't club dance or any type of dance to save my life so that was out of the question (i know that is a major problem but i can't do anything about it, I look like a spaz or better yet like Elaine Benes when I try). One point where I was in line to buy a drink I saw her from the corner of my eye turning her head a couple of times to look at me. I hung around a little but longer then told her lady friend I was leaving, went to a friend's house to play some xbox. I texted her good night and it was nice meeting her friends. She texted me the next day saying sorry about last night, i did not know what she was talking and just texted her nothing to feel sorry about. Then I texted her today good morning and she just texts back hello. Then she calls me an hour ago and asks what I was doing, told her i was watching the MNF game in my hotel room. She kept the conversation short, just wanted see what I was doing, I tried to extend the conversation but she didn't want to be on the phone long and it became awkward again so we said good night. Soooo...this is where it's at right now. I guess i should just play it cool and just text her every now and then.

D@mn You! that was my car!
    ;)

From reading your post that girl sounds like bad news. I suggest if you plan on anything you proceed with caution.

Group dates are a bad idea. You can't read her because she's with her friends. She might be interested but who knows if she is always talking to other people. She is responding to your texts so that is a good sign. I would wait a few days and ask her out to a one-on-one date.

If youre going to do a group date, you should always go with her, never meet her there. then you have all that other trouble of finding places.

still, bad news if she is talking to 3 different dudes.

I used to be the not club type too so i know how you felt.

i would just call during the weekend and ask her out but not talk to her on the phone as much. btw, when she called to see what you were doing, she probably wanted to hang out, thats probably why she didnt want to be on the phone. Women are too complicated sometimes i dont think they even understand themselves.

So the girl didn't actually TELL you(Preston) she had a boyfriend. You FOUND out? Is she still wanting to hang out and be your friend? It's good that you moved on I suppose. HOwever, if ya can't have a happy home - WRECK ONE! :p

You should find yourself a nice girl.

    Sincerely,
    Mom

Seriously though, don't try to analyze this too much, if you don't click you just don't click. Look for someone you have things in common with instead going entirely on what v3.1 down there wants.

You should forget about her...I'm sure she's hot and you'd like to hit it, cool...but it probably won't be anything more than that...Be more aggressive and a d*ck...

Why is this still a thread?

Grow some balls, bend her over, stick it in, and let me get back to my daily Vince young, the greatness threads.

Haven't read any of the replies but if this girl is cute, you better snatch her up quick.

Good looks PLUS Dungeons and Dragons is almost too good to believe.

For years, I was closet D&D player. I would only admit my true geeky nature after several dates.

lol the weird thing is that when he started talking about D&D, I thought about Weird Al even before he mentioned him! I guess it's because I am a big fan of Weird Al and I have his White & NErdy lyrics memorized:

Think I'm just too white and nerdy
Think I'm just too white and nerdy
I'm just too white and nerdy
    Really, really white and nerdy

First in my class here at MIT
    Got skills, I'm a champion at D&D
    M.C. Escher, that's my favorite M.C.
Keep you're 40, I'll just have an Earl Grey tea
My rims never spin, to the contrary
You'll find that they're quite stationary
All of my action figures are cherry
    Stephen Hawking's in my library

My MySpace page is all totally pimped out
Got people beggin' for my top eight spaces
Yo, I know pi to a thousand places
Ain't got no grills but I still wear braces
I order all of my sandwiches with mayonnaise
I'm a wiz at Minesweeper, I could play for days
Once you've see my sweet moves, you're gonna stay amazed
My fingers movin' so fast I'll set the place ablaze

There's no killer app I haven't run (run)
At Pascal, well I'm number one (one)
Do vector calculus just for fun
    I ain't got a gat, but I got a soldering gun (what?)
Happy Days is my favorite theme song
I could sure kick your butt in a game of ping pong
