This thread is hilarious, thanks for making entertaining everyone. OK, I'll give you that, maybe poor choice of comparison on my part. Was all I could think of at the time. Is this coming from experience? Let me guess, you go to cons dressed like: And you bring home all the ladies amirite? (pic courtesy of nook's teacher Honey Bear) Something honestly might have happened to you in the past buried deep in your subconscious that's releasing all this hate. Care to delve into it? I will listen if no one else will. Who hurt you?
Pipe down Juxtaposition... I'm 28, and Bruno Mars killed it. Even turnt up when the Chilli Peppers came on. Hell of a show. And I honestly thought the OP was trolling. But do your thing I guess. Shrug...
Yeah, I wonder why the hate from some our CF brahs. To be honest I'm not really a big fan of cosplay either, but I wouldn't immediately equate someone to be a colossal virgin arch wizard just because he wore some costumes.
Though not a cosplayer per se (or at least not to my knowledge), 00rocketgirl might be able to offer some advice. Maybe shoot her a pm?
Let me make this clear, the OP certainly has the right to dress up like a fictional character and frolic around town. I support that right, he isn't hurting anyone and he isn't breaking any laws. However, disdain is par for the course. We are talking about a grown man making a "costume" of a cartoon character and wearing the "costume" in public. Public scorn should be expected. The OP is not a 6 year old child out on Halloween. He is an adult. As far as being jealous? Uh no. Maybe the OP has traits worthy of jealousy, but dressing like a damn anime character is not such a trait. Best of luck to the OP. I hope he has fun and is left alone.
You mean like not giving a **** what other people think of your harmless hobbies? Maybe some day you'll grow up to learn a man's worth isn't defined by the amount of p***y he can get.
For the shoes just google "kung fu shoes". There are probably local shops you can get them at. And as somebody already mentioned using a karate gi should work for the shirt and pants.
How do we even know if he's indeed going to frolic around town? The way I see it, OP is probably just going to a cosplay event in his casual clothes, wear the costume there, then once it's over he switches back to the casuals.
First of all he's dressing up to go to a comic con, he's not frolicing anything to anyone Second of all you seems to have some sort of problems with costumes. Do you have distain for everyone wearing green hair and dressed up like leprechauns on St. Patrick's day? What about costume parties, the hell's the difference.
