First, the way he talks doesn't sound right, like faked.

    Second, he sounds like YoYao.

How can you tell the difference in the fakes, the real Chinese and the people who slept through every year of english class in school?

I know sometimes my spelling isn't the best, but I try to check it out before I hit the SUBMIT REPLY button.

If you are really a Chinese, you should know that capitalization is among the first things they teach in an English class, and Chinese students care about grammar very much, or maybe too much sometimes. Guess you slept through all those classes?

Hmmmm, I thought he souded a little weird and suspected a fake Chinese my self, but then again there are those that are Chinese that can't speal English well. I think I'll just give a quick test that's pretty basic to most people live in beijing/is Chinese and see if he can answer it.

What's the average going rate for dsl/month or internet cafe/hr. You must know this to get online there.

What's the name of the famous beijing based restaurant that made the dish "beijing roast duck" famous.

What's the titles of the four great Chinese literature.

Who are the actors in the drama meteor garden.

Not really hard question, most of them can be answered even without prior knowledge through a little research. But all should be easily answered by some one who's Chinese.

Reading this stuff makes me really miss Beijing - the mixture of Chinese traditional and international atmosphere, the casualness of her people, the way they speak Mandarin, the friends I have over there, the typical northern Chinese food, and the streams of bike riders going to work adding to the liveliness of the city... Ok I'll knock it off now, guess this isn't the best place to let go of personal feelings..

lol, way to go sentimental on me panda :D

Btw, since I'm from Shanghai (well atleast born there)

really doesn't apply. In fact I hated being completely surrounded with a beijing accent when I went there to visit. Nothing hostile, just the same sort of regional rivalry that goes on between Texans and New Yorkers :D

What a shame if you can't appreciate Beijing accent. :) The strong nasal tone of it in a girl's voice is music to my ears. Now don't think the other way or we're gonna face not only the derailment of this thread...:)
