Can't wait for this week, simply for the fact that how well or how badly we play is a great indication of how we will do in the 1st round regardless who it is. These are all playoff-seeded teams, so it's good to get a taste of it before it comes and see what we can do.
We are not getting out the first round. During the playoffs the game slows down big time, half-court sets are key, and the importance of dominant big men are AMPLIFIED. Our big men are too young and too underdeveloped at this point. Harden is amazing, but against playoff level defense he can't do it by himself. The only thing we should be concerned about in the playoffs is that hopefully the players get enough playoff experience to be utilized for the years to come. We are the youngest team in the league. Give or take the PF position which might change this off-season, this is essentially our core. That's the difference between us and some crap team like the Bobcats or Wizards that get new players and change their core lineup every single year. Also yes the Rockets changed their lineup dramatically, but that was a result of Yao retiring out of nowhere and us building our team around him beforehand; you have to get the foundation piece first, now that we got Harden I guarantee that the amount of moves and shifting pieces will stabilize. TL;DR:: Do not worry about getting out of the first round. Our future is so bright, its blinding. PS:: Also, I've come to realize this now but its time to stop hating Morey. Very few times was this team ever lacking a core foundation piece. Good or bad we always had the stars. The 80's, the 90's. In the 2000's we had Francis, then McGrady and Yao. Keep in mind that when we lost McGrady and Yao we got basically almost nothing back for them, Martin I guess but he was a little mediocre. What kind of team loses their two key franchise players, gets little to nothing back for them, and then ends up with another superstar three years later? Even in the years that we "sucked" we didn't even blow like the Suns, Bobcats, Wizards, etc. The future was always bright.
hell week for me sucked but it was worth it and I grew closer to my pledgebrothers as a result, but this stretch of games is not going to be fun
Spurs: Win (They probably want us to be the 6th seed) Pacers: Loss (Our defense is too much worse than their defense) Grizzlies: Win(Marc Gasol is out) Clippers: Loss (Back-to-back game for us)
If Marc Gasol remains to be injrued when we play them, I could see us winning that game. Other games, not really.
I never said we'll get out of the first round lol. I'm a half glass empty kind of guy. I'm also very content that we even make it to the playoffs considering that this was considered a "rebuilding" season and there's even people who were advocating tanking the season.
Hey man, after this win, would you consider going 3-1 to be possible now? Spurs were, imo, our toughest matchup in this stretch.

2-2 during "Hell Week". It makes the GARM Meltdowns after a loss look even more foolish than they already do.
