I'm a little over 5'9 with shoes. I feel pretty short, especially since growing up my two best friends are now 6'2 and 6'4. But, I think in general, I'm on the very bottom range of 'average.' When I see guys a couple inches shorter than me, I think damn that sucks.
Do you consider these short folk a right wing gun nut or just bitter and mean spirited??? How tall is Bilbo Baggins????
Buster Keaton 5'5" Martin Scorsese 5'4" Polanski 5'5" and child rapist but makes up for it by directing Rosemary's Baby... and the Man won an Oscar folks, HAHA!!! Adolf Hitler 5'8" that sure didn't stop him.. So 3 out of 4 at that bad for being short...
About 5'10....ideally i think i'd like to be 6'2-6'3. Probably the "perfect" height for men, socially, anyway. And women do love tall men. Very few say they dont prefer them.
Think the cancer part has to do with the food some people eat that makes them bigger growing up? Like milk from steroid ejected cows, food's with hormones in the etc
The woman I am dating right now is my height, maybe even a bit taller, and now that I think about most of the women I have dated have been my height or taller. One woman who I almost married and basically consider an ex was about 5'-3" and she used to always say I was just the right size for her.
I'm 5'6". However, I've found that, in my limited experience, being short can be an advantage if you play it right. It's about knowing your audience. Some women are into the whole burly, real rugged, ideal masculine guy- this is harder to pull off if your short, but not impossible. Others look for a guy that's a bit more... androgynous or cute. Being short- especially if you're shorter than her- is an advantage if this is the case. Assuming that these are two extremes (that thus cancel each other out statitistically) and that a majority of women fall somewhere in between, height - except extreme disparities (dwarvism)- is a non-factor assuming you aren't dealing with one of the extremes above or if she's shallow (in which case IMO she isn't worth your time).
I'm 5'6" and I consider any dude shorter than me borderline midget. I'm taller than the average woman which is good enough for me. The only things I don't like about my height is that I could never dunk (could touch the rim with my t-rex arms) and have a hard time getting the bartender's attention sometimes in a crowded bar.
I'm going to use this space to air a grievance I've long had: short people coming up to me and saying something like, "Dang! If I was your height I'd be in the NBA!" No you wouldn't, you ****ing r****d. Also, **** you for implying I'm lazy.
I am barely 5' 7" and I consider myself short when compared to white males..but average when compared to indians..or asians in general. I would say:under 5' 8" is short and over 6ft is tall .
Real average height in the US is 5'9.5" per wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_height#Average_height_around_the_world Some other random website says stdev is 2.8 inches.
<br> I think the average height is a bit skewed because there are older men who are very much under the average height bringing the number down. I'd much rather see median height in the USA for males aged 18-40
6'4" So basically these people think they have the skill set and athleticism of an NBA guard and the only thing holding them back is a few inches.
