Heard Turkoglu just rejected the offer. Someone in Portland said they heard it on the radio. Negotiations between Portland and Hedo are now closed.
guess he didn't get his 50 mill...edit: guess he can get more you know what Hedo keeps thinking to himself while going through free agency, "How the hell did Rashard get $120 mill?"
Let me add that I heard someone on another message board say they just announced this on a radio show in Portland. Don't know how legit it is.

Sports on Friday night. Turkoglu had agreed on a five-year, $50 million deal with the Blazers, but changed his mind and could be headed for a five-year, $56 million deal with the Raptors. Toronto would have to renounce three free agents – Shawn Marion(notes), Carlos Delfino(notes) and Anthony Parker(notes) – to create the cap space for Turkoglu. Apparently, the Blazers are already busy exploring other free-agent options for the $9 million in salary-cap space. Five years ago, Turkoglu was close to signing with the Phoenix Suns that now-Toronto GM Bryan Colangelo was running, but changed his mind and went to the Orlando Magic.
Andre Miller is old but I think he would do more for that team, even in a slow-paced offense. The Blazers have a plethora of capable wings. They need a good PG more than anything. I think things will work out best for them if they can land Miller for 2 or 3 years somehow. Not sure what Miller is asking for though.
Why does everyone keep posting about Battier being traded to Portland. I have not heard any rumor about it other than people on this board hoping they will trade for him.
They wanted him in the past, he'd be a good fit, maybe a difference maker (as he is here), he has a good sized contract, but not outrageous, and Portland has players that would look good in a Rockets uniform.
