That's pretty good there. His mid range game is what gets him to the rim with the hesitation move. Odom and mcgrady are also great comparisons. If odom played on a squad that allowed him to play point forward more, he could be a 5-6 assist guy. The guy that said peja obviously don't watch basketball. Peja?GTFO with that comparison.
Sadly, a better comparison to Peja is Rashard Lewis. Lewis has the skill set to be a lot more versatile but he doesn't use it. He was a much more dynamic player his last year in Seattle before the injury.
think back to that King's team, with Vlade, Webber, Peja, Bibby, Christie, J-Will, Nick Anderson...who'd've thought Hedo was the one true stud.
Uhhh what? I think you must be mistaken. Hedo ain't even on Grant Hills level in terms of their skillset. I think Hedo is a poor mans Kukoc. I agree w/ Houston22 and Precision 340.
Exactly what I was thinking. Grant Hill was supposed to be the second coming of Jordan. The guy was freaking amazing and had the nastiest crossover in the entire league. He used to finish with such strength, Its amazing how much injuries can take a toll on a player. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Dhd5SWS8u4Y&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Dhd5SWS8u4Y&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
It's unreal how easily he could beat his man off the dribble, just leaving them in the dust. Then the explosive finishes. He was as unguardable as any player I've ever seen. If the Magic had that Hill along with the young McGrady, it would have been truly impossible to defend that team.
That's exactly who Hedo is like.People tend to forget Kukoc had that great feathery shot and probably would have had better stats if he had gotten more touches. Toni gets the edge for being a champion as well.
McGrady was a much tougher player to guard in his Orlando days circa 2002. I remember reading Magic were very close to getting Duncan but he turned them down. Imagine a lineup of T-Mac and Duncan vs Shaq and Kobe back in the day. Orlando signed Hill only after Duncan declined the offer.
Tracy was a loser, is a loser, and always will be one. This is coming from one of his biggest fans ever, my youtube page is still filled with his videos. I don't know what to expect from him anymore. He really shocked me this year with his antics and It makes it really tough to root for the guy when he disrespects your organization in such a manner. Tbh, I won't be surprised if he never makes it out of the first round.
If Grant Hilll just got healthy we wouldn't be having discussions about Tmacs first round exits. That truly would of been one the most offensive teams in decades... Unfortunately the word injury has always been Tracy's demise. For him and his team.
I guess your not a fan than, fans always stay by a team/players side. Through the bad and good. I will always be a Tmac fan and i will always be a Yao fan. More importantly, i will always be a Rockets fan. This Rockets orginization (all of the players and coaches with the exception of Pippen) has always giving some great memories. With great moments comes bad ones, that's where you realize.. who the REAL fans are.
No I don't think so actually. The organization wasted so much money on Hill they didn't have enough to get other players. Shawn Kemp (ancient), Giricek, Drew Gooden, Tyron Lue were all key members in the rotation. That team was just flat out...bad. A combination of elite wings isn't nearly as deadly as and elite bigman and wing. So no, even then they wouldn't be that good.
Never said they would be great, I said they would be very offensive. Have you ever seen games 5, 6, 7 of the Orlando-Detroit series? Tmac would outscore his team in the first half. All he needed was help on the offensive end. I'm not saying they would of won the finals but they would of at least past the first round.
I cheer my players because they play for my team...the team I have and always will root for. T-Mac was great when he showed the organization respect/dignity. I can tell you right now he could care less about the city of houston and if he got the chance, he would bolt for a better team. Besides.... Slacking off the whole summer and not rehabbing isn't the best way to showcase your desire and determination to win a championship. He thought that due to the acquisition of Artest he could just piggy back his way to the finals. I cheer for Aaron Brooks. I cheer for Yao Ming. I cheer for Scola I cheer for Ronald I cheer for Landry I cheer for Hayes I cheer for Lowry I cheer for Wafer.. But I don't cheer for someone that isn't willing to put in the hardwork to make my team better.
That was during his greatest individual season ever. In 02-03 his efficiency rating was off the charts and he could do that. I could care less however because I don't root for that team. I only wish he could have done that with ours.
I'm not really fond of Hedo's game, seems like too much of a chucker, but hey it seems to be working. Seems to be more in the McGrady type mold.
Again you don't know what happens in his world, you just assume because that's what you've heard around. Everyone always states that he "slacked off" during the summer, I highly doubt that was what happened. Especially when he KNEW that he had the best team that he has ever had assembled with the aquisition of Ron. Bro, Tmac carried this team for 3 years. He put it all out there, and now, he has 1 bad seasons with a few things that he handled poorly in the media. He's a Pippen now, according to people on this board. That's just insulting to me. Not dissing you man, I just think people here really ignore Tmacs effort in past years. It would be nice for a comeback next year.
