6. Houston Rockets - Ses 2 52-30 * Pre 8-2 * Ses 3 54-28 TheCat's team is harder to predict based on the preseason. First I do not know if he did go all scrubby to get that good record, or if he stayed semi-good as he started out. Second he traded for KG, so he should be even better now. I started out having Rockets down in 8th risking elimination as he was only 9 men deep. But a few trades fixed his depth, and then he managed to get better with aquiring KG. But the west is pretty hard, and Cat could be in for a surprise if he really thought he would have the 2nd best record in the league: 54-28 Comments? 6. Detroit Pistons - Ses 2 44-38 * Pre 3-7 * Ses 3 42-40 Castor have made a couple of moves to improve his team fromlast season, and the team roster looks stronger this season, but he has not been able to show it in the preseason. He didnt use his best team, but that was the fact for a lot of the teams. He still should be able to secure 6th as Pistons schedule was harder than most teams. He could be even higher if the team finds the formula, because the talent should be there: 42-40 Comments? But the west is pretty hard, and Cat could be in for a surprise if he really thought he would have the 2nd best record in the league: 54-28 The Rockets will remember this and be angry if they play the Sixers in the Finals. By the way, in the preseason, Carter, Dirk, and Divac were benched for session 1, Francis and Divac were benched for session 2, and all starters played in session 3. ------------------ Draftsource.net-- the premier source for draft info. I'm not quite sure what this means, but I'm pretty sure I disagree with it. Pacers are headed to the second round of the playoffs this season, man. Write it down. My team of scrubs and overachievers are always underrated, and I'm fine with that. ------------------ I'm so amazingly cool you could keep a side of meat in me for a month. I am so hip that I have difficulty seeing over my pelvis.
Oh, sorry. I though I had you down for not trusting your overachivers, and had started to get rid of them for players that underachived And me saying you will be the 7th seed, is not the same as denying you the ticket into the 2nd round. I know of a team that have gone into the conference finals from the 7th seed. ------------------ The CC.net NBA Sim Board/Homepage
5. Minnesota Wolves - Ses 2 64-18 * Pre 8-3 * Ses 3 55-27 VJ's Wolves are not as strong as last season. They are about the same team, but lost out a bit in the draft as they saw the departures of the two Michael's. Kandi was replaced by Arvydas Sabonis, while Quentin Richardson came in for Dickerson. Wolves aslo added two rookies so they still have a deep team. Although falling a bit on last seasons record I don't see them falling more than 1 spot in the rankings, just edging out the Rockets: 55-27 Comments? 5. Washington Wizards - Ses 2 46-36 * Pre 6-3 * Ses 3 44-38 Wizards enjoy being the underdog in being the lower seed in the playoffs. First season they qualified for the conference finals out of seed 7. And against their wishes they were favorites last season in the matchup against Knicks. They won anyway, and in the 2nd round they forced game 7 into overtime against the champions to be Sixers. And that was the only series that did go all the way for the champions. I'm sorry Dean, but I can't predict you any lower than this, and when the playoffs starts I also know not to count you out. You should just be lucky I didnt predict you higher as you had the 2nd best preseason record of eastern teams. DBC also brought back his center from the first season in Jahidi White, so you know he is planning to shock all once again: 44-38 Comments? 4. Utah Jazz - Ses 2 59-23 * Pre 6-3 * Ses 3 60-22 The youth revolution is here. BGM did make many moves that secured him a good team this season, and in an effort to keep a good team for several seasons he did go young. Very young. This team should be better than last seasons underachiving team, and in a more competetive league winning more games is an achivement. But being young can backfire in the playoffs: 60-22 Comments? 4. Boston Celtics - Ses 2 41-41 * Pre 4-6 * Ses 3 45-37 Puedlfor has lost 2 major pieces from last seasons team in John Stockton and Theo Ratliff. He also flushed out a bundle of minor pieces. Stockton was replaced by moving DerMarr Johnson over to point. Not the most assist giving point guard, but with Bostons post up play that wasn't needed. DerMarr proved in an exebition game that he was capable of getting the ball into the hands of Alonzo Mourning and new star to be, Rodney White. White, the 4th overall pick in the draft has shown very promising play in the preseason and could aspire to be rookie of the year. Trading away Jerome Moiso for Robert Horry was also a nice move. Horry and White will cover for the loss Ratliff and the move of Johnson over to point: 45-37 Comments? Next up: West #3 ------------------ The CC.net NBA Sim Board/Homepage
2. San Antonio Spurs - Ses 2 68-14 * Pre 6-5 * Ses 3 66-16 and 1. Portland Blazers - Ses 2 74-8 * Pre 6-4 * Ses 3 68-14 Blazers had the best record in season 1 and was in the finals in season 2. Smeg had a good draft as he positioned himself with a few good trades in the second season. Spurs on the other hand did trade away their franchise to stay competetive. I think they made a good trade - but not having a franchise player like Duncan might hurt them in the playoffs - time will tell. Comments? Philadelphia 76ers - Ses 2 60-22 * Pre 7-4 * Ses 3 55-27 ZRB completly turned his team around to build around Duncan, and I guess it might pay to have a player like that in the middle. He gave up a lot to get Duncan in, but also found roleplayers that fit nice in. My team is not as balanced as it was last season but I think the talent is there and I can see trades coming to rectify any problems. Who get the top nod in the east could go either way in my book, but I won't bet against my team in those circumstances. Comments? ------------------ The CC.net NBA Sim Board/Homepage
3. Dallas Mavericks - Ses 2 77-5 * Pre 8-1 * Ses 3 66-16 VOR managed to keep his starting 5 intact this offseason, and will still have one intimidating team. But giving up his quality "starters" in Lorenzen Wright and Cedric Ceballos should hurt his depth as he only added Tyson Wheeler with the very last pick in the draft: 66-16 Comments? 3. New Jersey Nets - Ses 2 52-30 * Pre 5-4 * Ses 3 48-34 Predicting Crisco's team can be a difficult task as his team is constantly changing. It was surprising to see his team change as little as it did in the preseason, when he lost Jahidi White and Tom Gugliotta to the draft, while all he got back was Andrew DeClerqc. The loss of White was already covered last season as he traded in Raef LaFrentz without losing White's eligibility. DeClerq will also give more depth up front. But even if the offseason makes for a lesser team, Nets have the cover to make for an impressive team: 48-34 Comments? Next up: West #2 and #1 ------------------ The CC.net NBA Sim Board/Homepage
well i also traded my pick for kittles, so i didnt just get Wheeler. and dude, if you were gonna rank me low, putting me as the 6th is the way to go. i have been ranked as the #4 team the last 2 seasons or something like that. actually putting me out of the playoffs would be better ------------------ Hanta-Force Paintball www.hanta-force.com

At the moment I have only been talking about this season. I'll admit to not have you in this year, but I don't think even you think so. And after you already traded away your top pick for next season, I can admit I have a though time seeing how you would imrove enough next season. But I will judge that season when it comes around. ------------------ The CC.net NBA Sim Board/Homepage

Really a Pretty good analysis of my team. Unless Peterson can come in and replace MD. Sabonis could possibly be an upgrade over Kandi, will wait and see... ------------------ The title will come to ClutchCity once again.
