Suicide? Drugs? I wouldn't think it would be natural causes for someone that young.

Police spokesman said he had a massage appointment, masseuse turned up and he wouldn't answer the door. Heath was unconscious in what is believed to be drug related.

NEW YORK — Actor Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday at a downtown Manhattan residence in what authorities say is a possible drug-related death, the NYPD said. He was 28.

NYPD spokesman said that Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the Manhattan apartment that is believed to be his home. The housekeeper who went to let Ledger know the masseuse was there, and found him dead at 3:26 p.m, Browne said.

The Australian-born actor was an Oscar nominee for his role in "Brokeback Mountain" and has numerous other screen credits.

    January 23, 2008 08:44am
    Article from: NEWS.com.au

HEATH Ledger has died from an apparent drug overdose.

The 28-year-old Perth-born actor was found dead in his apartment in New York.

The New York Post said his apartment was strewn with pills, adding that it was unclear whether the death was intentional.

The celebrity website TMZ said Ledger was found dead in his bed in one of his residences in Soho by his housekeeper at 3.35pm New York time (7.35am AEDT).

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they believe it was not a crime.

Ledger has a two year old daughter with former fiancee Michelle Williams. He was set to play the Joker in the upcoming Batman film The Dark Knight

Crazy, I just thought about how people were saying that the Joker looked at lot like the Crow and looked it up. Brandon Lee also died at the age of 28.

OMG, I saw this thread title and thought this was going to be some internet joke video or something. Crazy, crazy, crazy.

I know drugs are prevalent in Hollywood and most actors are careful enough to keep it out of the tabloids, but it's still shocking when you hear about it and it doesn't involve the usual headliners.
