Makes you really wonder what the heck is wrong with the guy? I mean he got all the potentials in the world, yet even the worst team in the league won't sign him.
You read between the lines when something like that happens. Green's got some sort of thing about him nobody wants to deal with. Could be attitude, or maybe he just doesn't want to work.
Several months from now, he (G Green) will be competing with players currently playing college ball or overseas to gain a roster spot. Probably a summer league invite or two to see if he is now motivated to utilize his talent and progress. No idea who advises him and who is his agent, but somebody or something needs to get him going. If he fails to come back and firmly establish himself as a NBA player, it won't be the first or last Talent to stumble.
I think Green declined so he can stay in Houston and train. He'll probably be invited to our Summer League team and we'll go from there.
Actually there have been no reports since hes been in the league of him with an attitude or lack of work ethic. I even remember reading articles saying he was always ready to improve his game and had a positive attitude. I think it's basically something just doesn't click up there.
Does anyone else see the irony of the ad in this thread to the topic? It's a little spray thingy that says " Green works "
Green was reportedly a headcase at Dobie High School, that's why he wound up at the now defunct Gulf Shores Academy....
Him and Ndi Ebi are practicing for the 3on3 blacktop challenge. If Green did indeed turn down the Heat's offer then bad call. Perfect opportunity for him to get some garbage time, show some potential, and earn 3mil of someones MLE next year.
I had read Clutch's report that said Green was practicing hard with us,but a subsequent article mentioned he didn't put much of an effort. He probably had a negative attitude which lead to his cut from the Rockets. I hope he will learn something from this.Look at J.R.Smith,he is starting to put an effort on defense and not just rely on his outside shooting which is helping him out.
When I saw the article I wondered the same thing. Interesting about Green; let us pray he is not destined to be Eddie Griffin II.
