Bosh doesn't have a no trade clause? Why would he ok a trade to the **** hole that is Sacramento? Morey loves to get his guy, why not pry bosh away for dwight?
I haven't been following much of what is going on. What makes you so sure he is getting traded. Nothing definitive has come out though. Just rumors no?
It's so sad that Whiteside was on our Vipers team and we didn't even sniff out his talent there. Now we have to acquire his ass in a trade.....
He was trash on the Vipers.. like really.. trash.. He matured (a little) and actually started to work on his game.
Les was paying good money for Jeremy to come back That is why the management around Morey is good but not great.
Yea I agree, the Rockets are certainly feeling out what they can get for Howard, but desperate or not, I don't see Morey just pulling a trade off to say we did one if we're getting nothing worthwhile in return.
He was on the Vipers twice. But then, he was on a lot of NBA, foreign, and D-League teams and nobody sniffed anything. Sacramento, Memphis, the rest of the NBA... all had a chance.
The issue with Whiteside is that he is near impossible for your coach to control. He doesnt care about winning just his numbers, and he will require the max. Even the Heat let him go the first time around despite desperately needing a center for their championship run with Lebron. “If you’re a jackass, rubbing away that reputation is very hard,” Elhassan said. “It’s very easy to ruin your reputation and very hard to rebuild it. Hassan Whiteside, for lack of a better word, was a jackass when he came out of college. He was delusional and would say things that were not commensurate with how great he was as a player. “It turned a lot of people off. His work ethic wasn’t very good. He had to hit rock bottom and figure out that, ‘Oh my gosh, my approach in life has not gotten me where I want to go,’ and credit to him that he did that.” LeBatard espn miami also stated that Spolstra has a ton of issues controlling him....then again Morey may not be concerned with that. Think Lance Stephenson personality.
If you trade someone you better have a lot of expiring contracts if you plan on resigning Whiteside. I saw a few weeks ago no team will have Bird rights on him and he might be asking for the max. Its too big a risk to make a move involving him.
