They don't have an MLE. Only teams that are currently over the cap have an MLE. I don't think they can do that unless they trade Beasley AND all three Wade/Bosh/Lebron take about 2 million less

why would they offer miller a nice contract when James and Wade occupy those positions unless they move wade to PG? who is on that team right now?

Bye Bye Lebron. Lebron ain't coming to Miami. If Miller really want to know if Lebron is coming to Miami why doesn't he ask Lebron himself?

They don't have the MLE because they're under the cap.

What this mean is they're trying to move Beasley to the Wizards in a S&T

wade did say that he would take less money to bring in other players.

I thought the story was wade and Bosh would take slightly less to get Lebron in and sign some players.. I think something along the lines of each cutting 1.5-2 mil/ yr of the max.

That makes sense. It would be a good move too. Even if Lebron doesn't go to Miami, Miller would be a perfect fit with Bosh and Wade. If Lebron does go to Miami, he's their killer off the bench. Great move either way.

And it makes sense for Washington too. Clearly Miller is leaving Washington regardless, so why not add a #2 over-all pick who still has the potential to develop with their new point guard?

Right but I'm assuming Lebron is going to the Heat. If that's the case then a S&T would have to be done in order for the Heat to get Miller along with D'LeBosh. Of course this all goes out the window if LeBron doesn't go to Miami.

the only way Miami can afford all three guys(unless someone takes a paycut) is to unload Beasley....so how in the hell do they afford all three PLUS Miller?

    I dont see it.

either they CAN'T afford all three big dogs and they get Miller

or they dont get Miller and get all three.

unless Im missing something here, this isnt possible for all four players to go to Miami.

This is also a very good possibility but I think moving Beasley in a S&T would be better served for the Heat and using that extra 5-6 mill D'LeBosh is giving up on a center would be a better way to use that money.

..I thought the cap next year is gonna be 58mil? Miami currently has 5mil on the book, minus Wade and Bosh's 16.6 per, that would still leave them with 21 mil? if they both take 15 per and Lebron has 16.6, that would give them 6 some millions to sign other places?

As steddinotayto said, they can only afford it if it's a sign and trade with Washington. Beasley for Miller.

Assuming LeBron does come, is it best to spend $30M on Mike Miller to be a backup, or on a starting center?

Either way, if these guys take less to get more help then folks should give them props. I can't think of too many instances of max guys taking less $$.
