Who cares? Since when do we worry who Miami have and who don't they have?

Well, we should care since Miami isn't going to do a trade if they don't have someone to replace who they ship out.

I was thinking the same exact thing today. Hopefully something else will go down soon. I can't wait for the season to start. :D

Since we've been identified as possible trading candidates with them.

I wonder if you would feel the same way when we save 4million (including Doleac's expiring) next offseason to resign a (hopefully) productive Bonzi and Steve to MLE-type contracts of 3 years each??

Provided we get a desirable answer to our defensive 4 issue, I'd have no problem trading Alston for cap relief.

With the rummor of Smush Parker to the heat, it probaly ends this unrealistic pipe dream some of you guys had here of us getting Haslem for a scrub like Alston.

First of all Alston isn't a scrub, that is stupid. Second it wasn't an "unrealistic pipe dream" because it was actually discussed.

And the Rockets aren't expecting Scola to carry them to the 2nd round.

Discussed by whom?. we said would you do a Alston and head for haslem and they said go to hell.. however we'll be nice to you, so we'll give you doleac and gray for Alston. you think miami would have even entertained the idea of Alston for haslem?. hell no.i

Well, i can go to Minny and say lets discuss KG, but unless i got the chips, it's just a useless discussion.

blazerben got me curious, so I checked the lakers message boards and found a thread on clublakers. Some guy said he talked to parker's agent and confirmed it.

It looks like we were able to save Alston from being traded for Doleac. The campaign worked. Adelman and Morey have listened to us.

Good now we can focus on teams that are short on guard and overloaded on Forwards like Seattle.

Also Brevin Knight to Sign with the Nuggets. the clippers now badly need a PG. without Livingston and losingout in the Knight Sweepstakes, maybe we can unload them Rafer and cap fillers for maggatte. now thats a nice Scenario. how much is Maggatte making?

    Francis/James
    Tracy/Bonzi
    Battier/Maggatte
    Scola/Hayes
    Yao/Deke

I think Alston would welcome that trade. Puts him in a similar situation with a dominant big and superstar wing with him as the point. Plus Miami loves Rafer. I think Rafer deserves a fair destination from all the hard work he put in for us as the lone reliable PG. I at least would want the Rockets to continue being a respected organization from fans and players alike.

As for the Doleac trade, the only good from that would be cap relief, which is another need we have. But if this means saving Rafer to trade for that final piece of a defensive PF/C, then I'm ok with passing up this opportunity to save bank.
