If oily food is a problem would that drug that makes fats go right through your system help?

I would agree that taking an acid for acid reflux is certainly a mediCIDE

Prilosec or Omeprazole (generic) is almost exactly the same a Nexium.

When I started having chest pains, my doctor gave me some samples of Prevacid. They worked so he wrote me a prescription for Nexium (I don't know why he didn't write it for Prevacid).

Anyway, omeprazole is a mix of esomeprazole and romeprazole. Nexium is exactly the same except without the romeprazole. If you're thinking of using Nexium, just use the generic over the counter stuff. It works the same and is much cheaper.

I disagree, unless you know what triggers your particular heartburn don't do the vinegar thing.. For some people highly acidic foods trigger their acid reflex, I was almost sent to the ER once because of friends homemade BBQ sauce that was full of apple cider vinegar..

    Maybe it's because you're fat?

Kinda surprised Dr. Moes hasn't posted on this thread yet.

I have limited experience with heartburn.

I do eat a lot of spicy foods, I would hate for that to change.

I just had an order of 3 mini buffalo chicken sandwiches for the first time from Jack in the Box, small fry and small dp, and the heartburn that followed afterward was brutal. 10 straight minutes of belching. Tasted good, but apparently the body isn't down.

    Get well Fatty.
